The Great Jungle

This is my story. Right now, I am fine and safe at home, but five years ago, I was in a completely different place. It was a place where I experienced fear, danger, and something I could never have imagined. Let me tell you my story without creating too much suspense—the story of the Great Jungle.

I had come to my grandmother’s house to enjoy my holidays. I was very happy because I always enjoyed spending my holidays there. There was a big park near my grandmother’s house, and my grandfather had his own farm. I loved going to the farm and spending time there.

One day, I was playing in my grandfather’s farm when I suddenly saw a car. There were two people inside it, and they had kidnapped a boy. I was shocked when I saw what was happening. Without thinking about the danger, I ran towards the car because I wanted to help the boy.

But that was my biggest mistake.

As soon as I got close to the car, both of them caught me and kidnapped me too. They quickly started the car and drove towards the jungle. I had no idea where they were taking me. I was frightened and kept thinking about how I could escape.

I was very scared and panicked. I started hitting my feet against the car door, hoping that somehow, I could get it open. I kept trying because I knew I had to escape. Suddenly, without me expecting it, one of the kidnappers threw me out of the car.

I fell onto the ground and was badly injured. When I looked around, I saw forest everywhere. There were trees all around me, and I could not see any houses or people nearby. I had no idea where I was.

I started thinking about what would happen if I stayed on the road. Maybe some car could come and hit me. I had to find another way to escape. Then I saw two human hands near a small river far away. At first, they looked like they belonged to humans from a distance.

I ran towards the river because I thought it might help me escape. I had learned a little bit of swimming, so I decided to jump into the river. I thought I would be safe there.

As soon as I got into the river, I looked carefully. Then I realized that what I had seen was not a human being at all. It was a crocodile.

The crocodile had trapped me and was trying to make me its prey. I became even more frightened. Somehow, I managed to get away from the river and ran back towards the forest.

I had no idea where I was going. I just kept moving because I knew I could not stay there. After this incident, I felt that if I did not get out of this place quickly, my dead body would be taken out from there.

I was exhausted, so I sat under a tree and started thinking.

What should I do now? How will I get out of this forest?

I knew I had to get out of the forest before night. I could not imagine what might happen if I stayed there after dark. So, I gathered my courage and started walking again.

I just kept walking. I didn’t even know where I was headed. I was surrounded by trees, and every direction looked almost the same. I continued walking until suddenly I spotted a small house in the distance.

I found myself wondering who on earth would be crazy enough to build a house in this jungle. Still, I had no other choice. I went towards the house, hoping that someone might be there and could help me.

When I reached the house, I noticed that it looked dirty and old from the outside. It looked as if nobody had taken care of it for a long time. However, when I looked inside, it seemed as though someone actually lived there.

I entered the house carefully and started searching. I was looking for anything that could help me escape the jungle. I had ended up there because of that mad crocodile, and I desperately needed a way out.

I searched the house but found nothing useful. Then I noticed one room that was locked.

I thought there might be something important inside. I went outside, brought a stone, and started trying to break the lock. I kept hitting the lock with the stone, trying to open the door.

Then suddenly, I heard footsteps outside the house.

I stopped and listened carefully.

Someone was coming.

I quickly looked through the window. What I saw shocked me. There were two kidnappers outside, and they were bringing that same boy towards the house.

I realized that I had very little time.

I quickly broke the lock on the room and went inside. To my surprise, there was an underground tunnel in the room. I entered the tunnel and looked around carefully.

Inside, I found many other children like me whom the kidnappers had brought there. All those children were terrified and confused. They had been trapped in that place for some time.

I quickly mingled with them so that the two men wouldn’t suspect that I had just arrived at the house. I tried to look like one of the children who had already been there.

Then the two men came into the tunnel. They threw that boy inside and left.

After the two men had left, a girl who looked at least fourteen years old approached me. She looked worried but curious.

She asked me, “They didn’t see you. Who are you, and why have you come to this hell?”

I told her everything that had happened to me—from my grandfather’s farm to the car, the jungle, the river, and the crocodile.

She listened to everything carefully. Then she told me something even more frightening.

She said, “We are taking the children to China, and that too tomorrow.”

I was shocked. I realized that we could not simply wait there.

I thought, I have to do something now. I need to get out of this forest myself, and I need to get the children out as well.

What else could we do? It was already night. We knew that we had very little time. We needed to come up with a plan to escape from that place.

We decided that we had to execute the plan in the morning. We would have to defeat those two kidnappers and make our way out of the jungle.

We didn’t sleep all night. Instead, we stayed awake and managed to come up with a plan. We discussed how we could distract the kidnappers and get everyone out safely.

Finally, morning came.

We were just waiting for those two idiots.

Then, they entered the tunnel.

Everything started happening exactly according to our plan. Three of the children pretended to be dead to divert the two men’s attention. The kidnappers became focused on them.

Just as planned, the girl and three other children threw big stones at them, knocking them unconscious.

For a moment, everyone was silent.

Then we realized that the plan had worked.

After that, we all made our escape from the tunnel and the house. We did not stop to look back. We just ran as fast as we could.

We kept running and running. None of us even knew where we were headed. We only knew that we had to get as far away from that place as possible.

After running for a long time, we finally spotted a road.

I could hardly believe it.

Damn, it hadn’t shown up when I was actually looking for it. It only appeared when the story was drawing to a close.

We reached the road and waited for a car. After some time, a car came towards us. I stepped forward and flagged it down.

The driver stopped and saw all of us. He immediately understood that something was wrong. We explained what had happened, and the driver called the police.

The police arrived and apprehended both kidnappers. They made sure that all of us were safe and sent us home.

After that incident, I never went towards the jungle again.

Even today, whenever I think about those days, I remember the old house, the underground tunnel, the frightened children, and the terrifying jungle. But I also remember how we all worked together and managed to escape.

That was the story of my journey into the Great Jungle.
