Chapter-1

A monk once lived in a forest. He was a devout follower of Lord Hanuman. He often used to smile when he saw the pilgrims walking along the path.

The monk spent his days chanting the name of Rama and meditating on Lord Hanuman. Whenever he saw travelers and pilgrims walking through the forest getting anxious and running in fear over small troubles, it brought a smile to his face. "These worldly bonds and fears are all temporary... If one surrenders everything to Lord Hanuman, courage and peace will naturally follow," he would think to himself.

One evening, dark clouds gathered in the sky and a dense darkness enveloped the forest. The howls of wild beasts began to echo. At that time, a few terrified pilgrims lost their way and came running toward the monk’s hermitage.

With trembling voices, they pleaded, "Holy Master! Wolves are on the loose in the forest, and we cannot see the path. Please save us!"

The monk smiled gently and reassured them, "Why fear? Chant the name of Lord Hanuman, and fear itself will run away from you." He then began to chant aloud, "Shree Ram Jaya Ram Jaya Jaya Ram... Hanuman Anjaniputra."

Inspired by the monk’s unwavering devotion and the chanting of the sacred mantra, all the fear in the pilgrims' hearts dissolved. They spent the entire night at the hermitage in meditation, untouched by any danger.

When morning light broke, the pilgrims peacefully went on their way. The monk realized even more clearly that day that true wisdom is not merely smiling at people caught in worldly worries, but guiding them toward the right path of devotion.
