Through the breeze

As I held the fragile and dainty dandelion in my hand, a soft and cool breeze flew. As the delicate petals rode the breeze, the deserted bud in my hand tried to the chase the petals. Yet, my hold was too strong and denied the action. I looked up at the sky, as the petals rode higher and higher into the endless blue stream. My mind drifted off as I saw the petals sail further, images of those brown eyes flooded my mind. Those eyes that held sparks full of excitement and hope, the sharp features with the sharp contrast of the soft gaze that they held. Countless memories and pictures of those eyes appeared as a soft sigh full of exhaustion with a hint of pain left my mouth. I saw the petals sail even higher, a few thoughts crosses my mind as I looked down at the deserted bud. 'The petals are still in it's sight, so I guess it's acting tough', I looked back up as another breeze flew in and the petals ascended even further. 'It was only a matter of time before the petals flew out of the view, out of the street, out of the town and if lucky, they could even get out of the city. They would go on to live a good life, full of nurturing and nourishment with no memories of the bud that they abandoned, as the bud wilted and crumpled, as it faded like it's memories', the thoughts couldn't stop as the petals flew out of my view. As I looked back down at the bud, it served no purpose, no longer would one look at it and blow. As I tossednit off, i watvhednit drop onto the river. My eyes took a turn as a specific image of those eyes popped up. My eyes were full of despair, although that image of those glassy eyes had been haunting me for a while, six months to be exact. I stared at the bud, i initially thought it would be like me... and just drown. However, to my surprise, the bud floated as the current passed it further. I glanced up at the sky hopelessly again and glanced back down at the bud that hor carried further. I shook my head in a contemplating manner. I guess, both the bud and the petals chose to paty ways and continue living their life, so I should too. With that thought, I jumped off of the ledge, back into the bridge and walked away with hope.
