Gimme feedbacks
Changing my pen name made me feel something I haven’t felt in a long time.
For centuries, there had been this quiet voice in me telling me to change it. I heard it, but I ignored it because I didn’t know what I wanted to change it to.
Then, suddenly, the voice grew louder.
An idea came to me.
It was simple.
And this soul of mine doesn’t do simple.
So I pushed the idea aside, thinking that maybe, when my mind finally became quiet, my soul would speak for itself.
Tonight, I sat quietly.
And then I heard it.
She Writes Darkness.
That was it.
I started crying.
Not because I was sad. Not exactly because I was happy either.
The tears just came.
They felt like home.
Like an ocean I could step into and bathe in without having to explain why I was there.
And underneath all those tears, I felt this overwhelming happiness. This strange relief.
Like something inside me had finally settled.
Like I had been searching for a name without realizing I was searching for something that already belonged to me.
She Writes Darkness.
I don’t know how to explain what it did to me.
I just know that when I heard it, something in me said,
Yes.
And for the first time in a while, I didn’t question it.
