Blurb
I look longingly at the last page of my manga, hoping for the characters to jump right off of the pages and pull me into their world, away from this cruel life. “Sabre, get your butt down here and cook dinner you good for nothing child!” claimed my so called mother. Sometimes I am glad I was adopted.“Be there soon!” I shout to the she-devil downstairs. I close the book and look at the ceiling, running my hand through my thick black hair absentmindedly. Oh how I wish I could travel to the worlds of my favorite books, anime, manga, and comics. “Well maybe you can.” A soft feminine voice whispers.
I jump out of the oak chair, sending it crashing to the floor, pulling out my pen knife in the process. “Who’s there! Show yourself!” I yell, looking around in my chaotic bedroom. I only hear a small chuckle in reply. I growl in annoyance, my patience running thin. “My how much you have grown Sabre.” Says the voice once again. “Though in reality, it is sad you don’t remember your own mother.”
“Wha-!!!” I exclaim as a fall backwards after backing up, forgetting about the chair that had fallen over. The knife I had slipped from my hand and thankfully only cut my leg. A thick red substance started dripping out from the cut. I notice something strange. The blood has a gold hue to it. The mysterious voice that claims she is my mother chuckled. “It is time for your journey to start, your father will meet you in the first world, and will start your training.” “What?!?!?! Wait what are you talking abou-” My sentence was cut short as the world started spinning. I collapse to the ground as I felt a burning sensation in my back as well as my eyes. I let out a muffled scream. Black began to dance across my vision. I then passed out to what felt like a gentle touch, something I had never felt.
