Prologue
A long time ago, in a faraway land there was a Kingdom that it was rule by a Great King. A King that it was known as a Dragon Slayer, he kills more dragons that no one could count, protecting the people from their destruction. Thus, the Kingdom is safe from all dragons, that is until one day, four dragons, stronger than the rest of the other races, flew directly to the Kingdom. They stood by the entrance, as the Kingdoms King stood in front of them, the Gold scale beast got closer to the King and communicated with him through a mind-link, the King heard the Voice of the powerful Dragon as he spoke.
“I know what you have done to my kind. I will give you a fair warning, a prophecy of somesort, in the future, four humans will be born, we are meant to bound with them and ride for war, ending the era where your rein will be finish, so prepare your ruling years as King will perish” said the Gold scale dragon
Leaving this said the four dragons left the Kingdom alone for Years to come.
Long years gone by, in the outskirts of the Capital there lies a village near by, unfortunatly the village were attack by dragons recently, as a ruler the King set to kill the beats, as his dutty had been made for the years, that is until her stops on his tracks to see such a site, a woman in front of the beast, reaching out her hand to calm the creature, she looks at him with fear of the Village and the people, she lightly pushes the dragons head away, telling the creature to leave, the dragon left the village alone and the King watch as the woman walk toward him.
She kneels, and then raises her head up, the King struck by her beauty reach out to cares her cheek.
“What is your name my Lady?” said the King gazing her blue eyes
“Diana Scarlet, your grace” answer Diana
The King hearing he melodic voice had fallen in love at first sight with her, Diana looking how strong and handsome is the King she also too fell in love with him. As they knew more of each other, the King see that this women is a caring woman and very loved by the villagers, a kind heart and a golden beuatiful soul.
Five years later, the King and Diana had gotten maried, Diana was crown Queen of the Kingdom, ruling beside the King over the Kingdom together, in thos five years, the dragons never bother to come back.
The Queen gave birth to a baby boy, on the process of the Prince’s birth, the Queen grew weak not long after she pass at childbirth, leaving the King to grieve and to raise the Prince alone. The King cheris the child and does not blame him for her death, as the child grew the King see his beloved wife in him thus the Prince had become his world.
The prince grew up to be a wise and great man; he hasn’t the strength like his father to protect the innocent, but he learns to care for the people and serve to help, just like his mother.
One day the prince went to the forest with his friend and personal guard, when they stumble in front of two dragons, they were lazying around, sleeping and minding their own busness, not causing harm and destroying the villages, just like a normal animal in the woods. They were at peace and calm, the Prince admire their existance, on the other hand his friend was going to slice the beast, the Prince sees this and raise his arm to stops him.
“What are you doing your highness?!” shouted the Prince friend
“Don’t charge at them, they are not causing harm” said the Prince
His eyes darted at the Gold scale dragon, their eyes connected like a threat or invisible bond that he could not understand, he dismounted from his horse and walk toward the Dragon, he got closer to him
“Your magnificent” said the Prince
The Golden Dragon eye the Prince
“You are the one, that I have been waiting for, Young man” said the Dragon to him
The Prince jumps backwards unable to understand the voice that he could heard from the Dragon, pointing at the Dragon and looking at his friend
“Did you hear that?!” question the Prince
His friend looks at him confuse
“Hear what?” question the Prince’s friend
The Dragon chuckle and spoke again to the Prince again
“Don’t bother asking him, you are the only one that can understand me and my kind. Listen well young one, I am going to tell you a stroty about a King that had slaughtered my kind far too long, and were you must help us put a stop to him” said the Dragon
The Prince unable to understand the reason, until the Dragon had spoken to him about his father slauther about their kind. The Prince in shame, lowers his head of the thought of his father slaughtering this dragon and his kind. Determine to put a stop to this slauther, the Prince raises his head and beg to spare his family’s life in exchange of his own, but the Dragon had something much more greater plan for him, he offers the Prince a choice to the future of the Kingdom and the Future. The Prince listen to this offer and with careful determination he accepted the offer and follow the instructions that the dragon had provide him.
In the process the Prince’s friend left in a hurry in fear to expect the become a withness and see his best friend get eaten alive by such monster. The Dragon manage to created a bond with the Prince, feeling the power of the Dragon and its strength he unsderstood that in this moment he is becoming one with the Dragon, and with this power he will be able to make the King surrender and the risk to lose his life by his own father’s hand.
The Prince had disappear for longer years, the King heard from the Guard about the encounter of the Dragong in the Forest, making him grive even more thinking that the Dragons had ended with his Son’s life. The King had declare war with the Dragons and in the process he will bring chaos in the world for it.
Another set of years had pass, the King continue with the slauther of the Dragons, it did not matter if they were passive or agressive, he kill more than before, that is that only the last four Dragong are left in the world. They were charging at the armada that are screaming their battle cry, he started to attack them, they also attack them in defense. The Bronze Dragon also known as Turk, landed on the west of the group with a roar that shock the earth, the men saw that on the back of the Dragon there is a human, a dragon-tamer his name is Giovanni. This causes the people to stop mid track including the King, then he turn his head toward the Silver Dragon with bright scales that shines in the light, Silvia, she too has a dragon-tamer with a spear on hand, her name of Milagros. The Black Dragon landing on the south, he roar out of control but firm also hhe snorted that he human he trap by his majestic from, he did not have a tamer nor by the look of it he did not have a name yet.
The Dragons suround the armada. roaring and agitated, the other tames try too calm their dragons, but they are also following their instict to attack and follow the Black Dragon. The King was about to charge again, that is until another Dragon lnaded in front of him, the Golden Dragon with another powerful roar.
“Stop this Madness!” shouted the Golden Dragon-tamer
The King stops mid-track and turn to sees the Golden Dragon, on his back sat a familiar young adult, the Dragon’s name is Oro, the tamer had removed his helment to reveal non other than his son, The Crown Prince. The King pant hard to see his son mounted on the creature, he see and remember’s remember Oro’s prophetic warning those years ago, that is when he realizes that these creatures would be the next one to rule over the world as long as the bond between them and the tamers has a deep connection and compability.
“Enought Father, there is no need to fight anylonger, there are not a threat!” said the Prince
“Threat?! They took you away! I lost your mother at your birth, I did not wanted to lose you too” said the King
“Oro did not meant to take me away I chose to, he gave me the choice and I took that offer” said the Prince
“You betray your own for them?!” said the King
“You kill countless of them, and they did not cause any harm! They were just migrating and looking for other areas, is not their fault that the people misjude them and misunderstand them” said the Prince
The King did not wanted to listen any further and with a heavy heart, he strted to charge and attack, the Prince defended Oro and commanded the other Tamers, know as Spiritual Knights.
They fought bravely, the King with the mind set to free his son from the clutches of the beast, and his son did not wanted to end this in bloodshead. seeing no other option he fought like his life depended on it.
The King threw a speak that causes to his son fall from the Dragon and gave a strong injury, Oro dive to grab him and roar as he burns every thim with fire, Silva cross him and fire an Ice bean to freeze the armada, Turk causes some vines to grown and boiling magma bolders had been shooting to kill countless arm men, lastly the Black Dragon flew high and with a lighting roar burn and shock every one on the ground.
The Prince mounted back to Oro and with his sword in hand, holding the broken spear -to prevent blood loss- jump from Oro and dive to strike at his father, in the end the Crown Prince murder and kill his father, stabing him on the chest. The King coughing blood as he sees his son sheed tears for his death, he gave him a stern command and the new King.
“No... more...Dragon....slaying...” the prince said as he saw his father draws his last breath
Dead in the hands of his son, Oro approach him
“I did warn your Father about this future, in the process you have lost him. Let us not linger, since it it time live with the thought that you kill your flesh and blood, live with the guilt and own it” said Oro
The New King stood up and stare at the beast “I will leave a legacy and that I promise that they will protect you and your last kind for all eternity, and head my word Dragons, I will make sure that your kind never would see the slauther of another! One day at a time, that is a promise! A new world will grow and some might hate have us as rulers and hunt us, but we will grow strong and move to a brighter future!” said and declare the New King
That is a war between the humans and Dragons came to be the end, and the Spiritual Knights had writen their story as legendary Dragons, but now year after years of trying and fighting. The King grew older and wise, at the death of them their offspring continue their legacy, until they were threaten and had not option than to disappear, thus the Dragons hid themselves with their Tamers, in places where no one could ever find them.
Centuries past and the war continue on, but now is a dead end to most new huntil guild and organization, The Dragon hunters, in search for the legendary Four Dragons.
In the beginning of the 21st century, a five-year-old girl is walking to the forest behind her house, she has a special spot near a cherry blossom tree, once she got there, she sees a giant Black lizard near it, she sees the creature carefully and notice that he is hurt, the Black lizard sees her and growls at her, she raises her hands making the book fall in the ground.
“Who are you and what do you want?!” growls the lizard
The girl picks up her book never releasing her stare at the creature
“I’m sorry, I just want to be on my reading spot and read my book” she pointed at the tree
The creature follows her finger, then glance back at her surprise
“Do you understand me?” ask the creature
The little girl nods her head, the creature let her pass, with a big smile on her face, she ran toward her spot and got cozy on the roots of the tree, she opens the book and started to read.
The creature notice that she is trying hard to understand some words, he got closer and provides her some assistance, this started to become a habit of them and the girl continue to visit the sport, so the creature would always be there waiting for her.
Five more years pass and the girl is reading in a new sport, on top of the creature as he sleeps, the girl lower her book and spoke to the creature.
“Hey! I never caught your name?” ask the girl
“I have no name” answer the creature
The girl jumps and walks in front of him
“That is not right, everyone has a name” said the ten year old
“Alright, then tell me, what is your name?” Ask the creature
“My name is Scarlet Hope Walker. So, what do they call you?” answer and ask Scarlet
The creature sighs
“I am call by many names, but the most common one is Black Dragon” said the Black Dragon tire and calm
“Well, you are an amazing Dragon and a very good friend, beside the fact that you like dark places” then it hit her like a brick “That’s it!” said Scarlet in excited
The Black Dragon shows confusion and curious on the child, she points her finger at him and calls out at him.
“Shadow, that could be your name, Shadow Black” she said with a smile on her face
The Black Dragon never felt this way before, he never had a tamer before and most of the humans he had met either are scare or runs away, now he realizes that this innocent child, that could understand him, does not show fear and created a strong bond had unconsiously became his tamer. Shadow was about to to speak when he heard a woman calling out for Scarlet, she bid her goodbyes to Shadow and left to her mother.
Five more years pass, Scarlet is now a 15-year-old teenager, that goes to college and study hard to become a Forensic Scientist, she was walking toward Shadow’s spot when she sees some men in her property. Scarlet gain enough courage to call out to them, once they turn to her scream, she notices that they have weapons and some of them had the word Dragon on it, not to mention posion weapong with tranquilizer in their hand, that is when she realizes that those are Dragon weapons, she put two together and figures out that they are hunters and there are here to hunt Shadow. She throws her book that hit one of the hunter’s head knocking him down cold, leaving the other one screaming threat at her and started to go running after her.
Shadow hears her scream and that is when a loud bang, in that moment a metallic smell hit his nostrils, he took a peek where he was hiding and sees that one of the hunters is holding an large knife, wet it with something transparent on the knife and stab her on the back and slice it all over her back causing her to start to bleed as she screams in pain and agony.
Shadow had waited a long time to find a Tamer Knight and when he manages to find his tamer, he sees her being kill in front of him, he is not going to let some hunters finish her. In anger and with a loud roar cover with the lightningh storm that is fast aproaching, he came out of his hiding place and shock the hunter that remains alive, burning him with his lightning breathing bolt.
The other hunter woke up and sees the creature end his companion’s life, he took notice of all his sorounding and realize what might had happen, that his companion had attack an inocent life and that the Dragon is just sitting there trying to help her. He walk toward them and Shadow growling, the man raise his hands at him and look at him with pitty.
“I am not going to hurt her, our mission was to capture you and kill you, but I think my partner had other thoughts, I am so sorry, is there anything I can do?” said the hunter
Shadow look at him and nudge at her, to treat her wounds, unfortunally Scarlet was losing blood fast, she was dying and there is no way to save her. Shadow stood up and look at her pale face.
“You are not going to make it Scarlet” said Shadow with concern in his Purple catlike eyes
“At least I try to get them away from you” she said more like a whisper
The hunter confuse between the Dragon and the child he did not interupted and try to keep her company so she would not be alone in her death. Shadow sigh and with heavy heart he knew what to do, so he had acted the same way his brother Oro had acted when he meet the Prince centuries ago.
“There is a way for you to live, but it comes with a price, are you willing accept this Scarlet?” ask Shadow
Scarlet look at him confurse, waqiting for his offer
“What is it?” question Scarelt weakly
“I am saying that I’m going to bound you with my power and this bound and power is for all eternity, do you understand Scarlet, you will become unstoppable and immortal” explain Shadow to Scarlet
Scarlet knowing the meaning of his words, she did not wanted to die, but she wanted to live. Scarlet knows that in order for her to live Shadow must die, this is the same as vice-versa. Shadow had live for centuries, had become wise and fill with knowledge, he will do anything to save his tamer and now new vessel for hims power. Scarlet did not hesitate and nods her head. Shadow knowing that she accepted the trade, started the process, he let his power transfer from his excistance to her small body and process to save her.
The power were greater than she imagine, shocking her body, soul and heart, her eyes slowly turning a vivid purple, holding the Hunter’s hand as she slowly becomes stronger and powerfull, slowly the mark of the Black Dragon appears on her right rib cage. Once Shadow had finish with a smile he vanish forever, making Scarlet a new generation of the Dragons, she had just become the New Black Dragon.
