Dear Diary...
How do I tell them? How do I tell my family what I am, I don't even know what I am... I could just come out and say it at our next family meeting, but I can only imagine how that will turn out...
Mom would faint the second the words left my mouth and Dad's ball sack would suck right up into his body and drop back out, I can't even imagine Brent's - my brother's - reaction...
Seeing as I can't say it aloud, let me just type it out.
I am Bisexual. I am not only into guys but girls too. I accept myself and I hope that my family does as well.
It isn't anything new to our generation to be scared of the reaction of our loved ones - could be our family, friends, peers, boyfriends, or girlfriends. I have a reason to be afraid. My family is not open minded at all. My older sister is the only one that accepts that the world is evolving and that times have changed. Lily - my sister - is a feminist.
My parents taught us that the man is the breadwinner in a household and the woman should be barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen, behind the stove with a glass of whiskey for her husband. Totally not Lily's style, or mine for the matter...
I have come to a conclusion. Today on April 2nd, 2018, I will let my older sister know my secret. Lily will learn that I am Bisexual.
