Letters From Her Royal Highness

To The High Council,

It is with great dissatisfaction that I am writing you this very evening.

I have been awake from my hibernation for only a mere two weeks and what my eyes have seen have made me wish for death again.

How did we, The Superior Creatures of the night, Kings and Queens of the Underworld, Masters of the Shadows, succumb to such a blow as to be almost humanized again? When did we become our prey? I ask you, was this what our Fallen Elders aimed for?

This pampered generation knows nothing of how it felt to go hunting. They instead have bars equipped with bottled blood chilled and ready to heat. What good is chilled pigs blood? To wake up to a glass of warmed pig's blood and a human servant whom I am not allowed to taste. This is pure torture. Human blood is what my father drank and it is what I will drink. The smell of its sweet fragrance as it floats through the air and the feeling of the warmth that runs down your throat as you drink your fill. These are the ways of our kind and yet I see them being tossed aside because the new norm is to blend in with our livestock. I even heard a few of the younger ones saying they could even marry humans. What outlandish gibberish have you spread to the new generation? To wedd one's food, is this some sick joke?

Whatever happened to the days where we could venter into the night and hunt our meal down? Have we left our future in poor management?

I wish an audience with my brother immediately as this new faze that has taken over must be spoken about in person. The human race is making a mockery of our kind and we just sit back and watch as they do so. I walked the street last night and saw a younger vampire subjecting herself to humiliation by having her fangs filed down in order to fit the new norm. What has our kingdom become? No, this must be rectified and I have the remedy for such a situation as this. Tis not the first time a fad tried to grant its self a permanent status.

You must wake the Elite Elders and the Royal Count upon my arrival there my father will want to know of my plans and what has transpired while he slumbered.

You blasted fools have done it this time thinking with your pockets instead of the good of the Vampire Kingdom, to think that my father's work has gone to the dogs. If only words could express how furious I am right now. Mark my words, Gentlemen of The Council, when I wake my father, heads will roll for the shame you have all brought upon us. To bow down to food as if they rule over us...US! I shall not.
