The Yellow Lilly
There are always to sides, like the two sides of your hand, or like the evenly occurring sides of coin.
Like the villains side there is always the hero’s side, the sun and the moon, the dark and the light. But the crumpled yellow lily screamed only one story.
A story of love, betrayal, courage, shame and sadness all crying through the sagging yellow petals.
Laying there on the unwelcoming tiles it waited patiently to be heard. But no one ever listened. Its vibrant colour seemed to always deceive the blind eyed.
But little did they know it meant so much more than the ignorant eye could ever see.
