Chapter 1
The Boulder
Alara Rose happens to be the weirdest Seeker in all of History… When it comes to boys. She whines to find her lost Prince charming, but within five 5 minutes with any guy, she has them fleeing for their lives by the tons of boulders she sends at them when they say something stupid…And let’s face it all men have said at least 25 stupid things in their life.
It was a normal day on Eden when Alara finally decided the only loyal boyfriend she had was her boulder she named “Rocky”. We all believed she had finally gone crazy…Even Tracey.
We found her, sitting at a picnic table, wearing a fancy pink gown, with food all over the table that sat over a white tablecloth. It was clear, who made all the preparations for this night, and sitting across from her sitting on a bended metal chair was a ten-ton boulder wearing a tuxedo.
Our eyes went tiny as our jobs dropped…She had literally lost it.
Connor and I made the first attempt to talk her out of her insanity!
“You’re interrupting us.” Alara said, coldly to us as we stood by her table, she actually believed she was on a date.
I glanced at Connor without speaking to him.
Connor stepped closer to her.
“Um…Maybe you should postpone the “date” thingy you’re on.” Connor said nervously.
“And why on Earth should I?” Alara snapped. “Rocky and I are having a great time.”
“Well.” Connor stated. “We think you have hit your head on something, that may have you believing Rocky is a person.”
Alara glared at him, before her eyes suddenly caught fire.
“You will die now,” She calmly told him.
Connor turned to me.
“You’re on your own!” He said. “She’s too crazy for me.”
“But you were madly in love with her not even a month ago.” I said.
“Yes,” Connor stated. “But now I see….SHE”S NUTS.”
“I call forth the friends of Rocky.” Alara yelled before boulders rained from the sky, chasing Connor off in the sunset that suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
Alara looked at me.
“Are we done now, Rocky was just telling me about his days a professional bowler?” She said calmly.
My eyes got wide before I stormed up to the boulder, pulled out a black sharpie and drew a smiley face in the center.
“There.” I told her. “Now it’s more believable.” With that I walked off to the Eden house, opened the front door where my other friends were.
“So?” Luke asked. “How’d it go?”
He just knew it went awful, but still had to gloat.
“For that you’re next.” I snapped. “Go convince Alara she’s nuts.”
“I know she’s NUTS.” Luke yelled, sitting up on the white couch we had.” And I found out the same way Connor just did.”
“We know she’s nuts…It’s Alara who doesn’t know she’s nuts.” Coda said, leaning on the kitchen doorframe.
“You and Coda…GO!” I yelled. “Before I get nuts.”
Coda and Luke walked up to Alara, who looked at them with a face that said GO AWAY.
“Hello fair Crazy.” Luke said,” We are here to make you less Nuts.”
Alara did not reply.
“We think you should come inside and take a breather.” Coda said.
“I don’t need to take a breather.” Alara replied. “Rocky has just offered to take me to the Royal ball and I accepted.”
Luke’s face fell!
“HE”S A ROCK!” Luke yelled. “He doesn’t have feelings, he doesn’t care about you…He’s a rock with a smiley face on it, wearing a tux.”
“Actually, Will Carter drew the smiley face.” Alara said.
Luke’s face fell!
“…But she…sent…us…out here.” Luke claimed.
“We’ve been doomed.” Coda stated.
“I DEMAND A REFUND!” Luke yelled aloud.
“She didn’t pay you!” Coda snapped at him.
“Are you two done?” Alara stated. “Rocky and I are busy.”
“You’re more crazy Will Carter. She just messes with us to please her dark evil side…You actually believe this pebble is a person.” Luke said.
Alara moved her hand and a hole opened up underneath Luke, where he fell to the center of the Earth.
Alara glared at Coda, raising an eyebrow.
“Oh,look” Coda said. “My dragon needs feeding.”
With that, Coda took off at top speed toward the house, running in and slamming the door behind him.
“So how did it go?” I asked, sipping a Kola, standing by the staircase.
“You drew a smiley face on Rocky.” Coda reminded me.
“And?” I asked.
“You made it worse.” Coda snapped. “She thinks you’re on her side.”
I shrugged before we saw Tracey walking past us with arm full’s of food, headed toward the front door.
“Tracey?” Coda asked. “What are you doing?”
“Looks like she’s taking the food to Alara,” I said.
“Were trying to get her to not be a loon,” Coda told Tracey.”Your just encouraging this behavior,”
“You two are loons from another dimension, pretending to be normal minded when in reality you’re so nuts, people flee from you in terror so often your used to the abuse you don’t notice.” Tracey said in one breathe. “It was just misguided faze of Alara Rose and unlike you two, she will overcome her nuttiness, while you forever be trapped a wave of nut oars in your clingy little souls.”
I swear Coda and I had no words to say after that. We let Tracey leave us with our jaw dropped…For someone who does not speak often she talks a lot when she wants to…And everything she says is true.
Connor and Luke walked past her in the door, seeing our silent jaw dropped.
“What’s wrong with them?” Connor said.
“They got Traceyed,” Luke stated. “She does it to me all the time.”
“I bet she gets good insurance.” Connor said crossing his arms.
