Chapter One
Lying back on the lounge chair, she meditated to the roar of crashing waves that rushed up the golden shoreline. Solely she was focused on the magnetic pull of the tides. This wasn’t her usually comfort place, but it left something to desire.
The sudden squawk of annoying seagulls called out in the distance and broke her bubble. She peeked out to the gleaming ocean to find young kids shouting in glee as the next cold wave splashed them.
There a small smile escaped lost in the moment.
“Diana you’re doing it again,” Nina, who was sitting in the lounge chair next to her, stated amused. Nina took a sip of her daiquiri while Diana observed how men passing by, their eyes followed the curve line of Nina’s tan body. How her short black hair rippled in the soft breeze. But maybe it was just the fact, Nina wore a stylish navy and white vertical stripe high-waist bikini hug tightly to her body.
She was a very attractive woman.
Nina lowered her sunglasses and smirked, “You know you look great with kids.”
Her dig made Diana’s stomach sour and Diana responded, “Let’s get back to the task at hand. How are we getting into the party?”
Pointing to the cabana, a guy in a white polo shirt, blue shorts and espadrilles was ordering drinks. Diana rolled her eyes, “He looks like a douche.”
“Oh he is, but he’s our ticket,” Nina replied back as the guy walked over to them with daiquiris in hand. “Hey Calvin,” Nina called out playfully.
“Suh ladies,” Calvin responded with a wide smile, “Are you ready to par-tay tonight?”
“He got invited to the party?” Diana stated skeptical and Calvin replied in his defense, “Hell yaz, I’m like a weekend warrior.”
“It helps that he’s a very far relation to the party host,” Nina informed thus peaking Diana interest. “Isn’t that right?”
“Yeah. Though I have a serious question only you ladies can solve,” Calvin stated while putting the drinks down on the table. “Should I wear mint green polo or do a George Washington blue?”
Nina eyes danced in amusement at Diana.
Was he for real? Diana thought in shame how far the race of men could fall.
Still waiting for a respond, Diana stared at him dead pan until Calvin’s smile slowly started to droop. Not liking her intense eye contact, Calvin glanced away allowing Diana to leaned in and whispered quietly to Nina, “Can I break his nose?”
She giggled out, “No.”
Diana fingers went close together and smiled, “Just a little. I think it would make me feel better.”
Nina shook her head and Diana crossed her arms.
Breaking the tension, Nina cleared her throat, “Blue to match your eyes.”
“Cool,” he snapped his head at Nina with exuberance. “Pick you up....”
Diana cut him off, “No, we’ll meet you there. 10:30. Now go.”
His jaw dropped at her dismissive tone and Nina blow a kiss. “See you then.”
Shaking his head, he walked away unsure by their encounter.
“Can you just enjoy the moment,” Nina sighed in slight frustration and Diana sat up.
“I’ll enjoy it when we make a splash at the party,” Diana replied with a wink and Nina flashed a smile.
“You’re dark,” Nina added when shifting close to Diana’s body. “And that’s the way I like you.”
Diana was only a few inches from her plump lips and could feel that raw attraction, but Diana pulled away quick making Nina’s smile strain from rejection.
“Athena, I can’t,” Diana whispered and moved toward the foaming waves.
After all I was more than dark, I was empty, Diana thought.
Arriving at the mansion that laid on a beach front property, the night party was in full swing. Frat boy waited at the door way impatiently pacing until he spotted them approaching.
His jaw dropped in awe when his eyes scanned down Nina’s low cut dress. He definitely was single-minded for one thing, Diana noted. After his ogling, his attention turned to Diana with an approved nod.
Diana fist clenched at his judging stare as Nina asked flirtatiously, “How do we look?”
“You’ll fit right in.” Calvin smiled smitten, before making a comment to Diana, “But babe, just try to remember to smile.”
Her lips tightened feeling her temper rising.
Diana whispers in Nina’s ear, “If he manscapes me again, I’m going to kill him.”
“As much as I love to see that,” Nina wrapped her arm around Diana. “We have other pressing matters to entertain tonight.”
Taking the reign, Calvin offer his arms to both of them and they ascended the stairway. A man at the front entrance held out his hand to stop invited guests, including them.
He stated arrogantly, “Calvin.”
The guard stared at him unfazed and Calvin added, “Calvin Striker. These ladies are with me.”
“Regardless of whoever you are, you have to go through the metal detector,” the bouncer stated and Diana bit her lip trying to contain her laughter.
Calvin was about to walk through when Diane nudged him in the stomach, “Ladies first.”
Nina placed her jewelry and clutch into the box and then slide through the metal detector with ease.
Next, Diana tossed her jewelry and slid off her heels. The guard watched her with question as she smiled, “Golden heels.” Going through clean, Nina eyes scanned down Diana’s leg as she slipped back on her heel.
Nina flickered her eyes back to Calvin coming from the metal detector, “We can’t have a puppy trailing us.”
“I’ll take care of it,” Dianna reassured and Nina caught her wrist and whispered, “Have fun, but not too much fun.”
“I’m not the one who can’t control themselves.”
Dianna snapped her hand back and started to confidently strut to Calvin.
He started to open his mouth, “Hey babe-”
Quickly she shut his stupid mouth up by locking lips and just when he was about to settle into the kiss she pulled away. “I can’t wait anymore. I want you.” Diana’s eyes scanned around to see Nina smirking and then Diana turned her eyes back to Calvin, “Can we find a private room?”
“Hell yeah,” he cheered letting his dick lead his actions. He guided her up the staircase and like a horny teenager he checked the first bedroom for clearance. “We can go in here.”
Grasping his shirt firmly, Diana pulled him inside and kissed his lips feverishly. Pushing his chest back roughly and Calvin was enthralled. “Damn, I should have pegged you as the crazy type.”
Diana froze for a second, but Calvin didn’t notice with having all the blood drain to his only brain. He purred, “Crazy girls are amazing in bed.”
Her lips curved up, “Let me show you how crazy I am.”
Crack.
Diana shook her gloved hand admiring her work. Calvin was out cold bleeding from the nose and both eyes swelling from the blood vessels breaking his delicate skin.
Closing the door shut, Diana bent the door knob down and then descended back down the stairs to Nina’s side. Nina asked amused, “Do you feel better now?”
“It’s a good start.” She pivot to Nina already to get the party started, “So you go to the bar and I’ll-”
Nina kissed her lips by surprise and Diana froze in place. Smiling at her reaction, Nina responded, “I know what to do. I did come up with the plan.”
