Chapter 1

One day, there was a little house, deep in the forest.

A girl named Krystal Hastings was lying on her bed, sleeping peacefully. A few minutes later, Krystal’s mom, Andrea, came into the room.

“Krystal, it’s time to get up, the sun is up & shining.” Andrea said, gently shaking her daughter.

“Ok mom.” Krystal said, yawning & stretching.

“I’ll be in the kitchen waiting for you.” Andrea said, closing the door gently. Krystal stood up & walked towards her closet. She picked out a blue t-shirt with a white bunny on the front, dark blue jeans & a beautiful white sparkly jacket. She went into the restroom & got ready for the day. When Krystal was done getting ready, she walked out of the restroom & walked towards her mirror. She looked in the mirror & smiled.

“Perfect.” She said to herself, smiling even wider. She turned towards her door & walked out into the hall, locking her door before walking to the kitchen. On the way there, Krystal could smell eggs, bacon & toast. Krystal came into the kitchen & saw her mother put all the food on 3 separate plates.

“Get what you want dear.” Andrea said.

“Ok.” Krystal said, grabbing 1 piece of toast, 3 pieces of bacon & 1 egg. She sat down & started nibbling on a piece of bacon. A minute later, Krystal’s dad, Louis, came into the kitchen. He poured himself a cup of coffee & sat at the table, smiling at his daughter & wife.

“Good morning girls.” Louis said.

“Good morning.” Andrea said.

“Morning dad.” Krystal said, getting out of her seat & hugging him. He hugged her back, gently kissing her forehead. Louis took another sip of his coffee, then he went out on the porch. Krystal looked at her mother & smiled.

“Mom, do you think I could go for a walk when I’m done eating?” She asked.

“Sure honey, but be careful.” Andrea said.

“Don’t worry mom, I’ll be fine.” Krystal said, putting on her shoes.

“Well, bye mom.” Krystal said.

“Bye Krystal.” Andrea said. Krystal ran through the hall & onto the porch, where she saw her dad sitting there, thinking about something.

“Hey dad, I’m gonna go for a little walk.” Krystal said.

“Ok sweety, have fun.” He said. She waved bye to her dad & began to run through the forest. Little did she know, someone was following her…
