Teaser/Before You Begin....

Hello there!

I’ll try to make this short and sweet since there are a couple things I should probably go over before you begin to read, so please don’t skip over this!

This is a Jungkook x Reader Fantasy AU! The lore throughout the story is very loosely based on that of Dungeons and Dragons. Most of it, however has been tweaked or thrown out to fit how I would like the story to flow. (Because, well, no one can really tell you how to write a fantasy book. Someone may have different opinions on things, but that’s a whole other rabbit hole I won’t delve into.)

As the story goes on, I’ll occasionally slide a lore only chapter to explain things. (Kind of like Attack On Titan does with it’s transitions to give background to things!)

I also want to say I may go back and change things in early chapters from time to time so make sure to keep a look out for updates marked as: **Edited.** I’ll only mark chapters that have significant changes and not for grammatical editing or anything like that!

Anyways, thank you for choosing to read Heart Full of Stars, I promise it will be awesome! With out any further ado, please enjoy this teaser!~

Y/N has always believed she was where she was meant to be. She had purpose and meaning to her life as the princess and heiress to her parents’, King Adhos and Queen Eilaela, throne of Cerulean. As the lone celestial mage in her kingdom, she studies her magic intensely, and even a bit of sword fighting against her mother’s will. Headed North of the beautiful coastal lands of Cerulean, is a vast and lush green forest, Eshaelia. And though the greenery is amazing to lay sight to, Eshaelia is an extremely dangerous territory. With no ruler or laws set in place, the forest is a giant free for all, to all who enter.

One of the Inhabitants of Eshaelia, Jeon Jungkook a bunny hybrid, makes his living as a freelance assassin and occasional thief. Those who’ve only encountered the hybrid describe him as an unnervingly level-headed killer. Those truly close to Jungkook know when it comes to his anger, he has a short fuse, though he hides it well with a seething dominance instead of blind violence. But will his skills be able to save him and some unlikely companions from the fate that awaits them?

What shall happen when a princess and an assassin from two different worlds cross paths? Will their fates be entangled forever, or will they tear each other to shreds?

A Condensed History of Aivalen:

Thousands of years ago, all the creatures of the land got along rather peacefully, with only a few disagreements that were settled by the prevailing gods. Life was good for the people all throughout the land. Crime was almost nonexistent, jobs were easy to come by, and grand festivals were held in celebration of the gods. The tranquility didn’t last to long before arguments broke out between the humans and elves. Each thinking themselves higher and more respected in society than the other, the two races began to bicker and fight for the right to rule over the lands, completely bypassing the gods they once worshiped.

Not long after, the small fights grew larger and larger until they pushed the vast land to the brink of war. The gods warned the people involved that if they went to war with each other, that they would step back, forget this world, and move on to the next. Even some of the other races, the dwarves, gnomes, dragonborne, and the hybrids begged the humans and elves not to start something so extreme. However, they didn’t listen to the voices of those around them, the hatred for each other to strong to be swayed.

The flood gates finally burst when a human assassin slayed the beloved elven oracle of the time. A war of overflowing intensity raged between the two races, dragging the others down with them. Most hybrids were forced into battle by the humans, the gnomes joining them out of their own will. The dragonborne simply moved to the cavernous underworld. The dwarves joined forces with the elves when the humans drove them from their mountainous homes, and the nymphs joined just for support for the elves they were so close to.

The horrid battles raged on for 293 years before fizzling out from the humans merely forgetting their reason for fighting in the first place after a few generations. All the forces were majorly deflated, no one won that war. Though the vast lands that were ruled by mostly benevolent gods were named Aivalen as a whole then split up among the different races. The beaches to the south and the forest that neighbored them to the southeast went to the elves and the nymphs who decided to join them, (though the nymphs were practically everywhere along with the hybrids.) The grasslands and deserts to the north went to the humans. All the remaining forests between the two main kingdoms were deemed free for all zones, allowing for nomadic tribes and small towns to be formed.

The elves, after claiming their lands named the shores Cerulean after the beautiful waters of the Damoira ocean, and named their forest after the first crowned queen, Arasne. The humans named their land after their highest decorated and recognized general, Gradia.

The gods who had threatened to leave did as they said when the war had first started and were completely forgotten and disgraced (by the people who still remembered,) by the time the war was over. As time went by, new gods were created as people established new belief systems and mass religion. Of course, the elves and humans refused to recognize each others gods, (which almost setting off a second war.)

As centuries turned to a few millennia, everything seemed to settle down again. Human kings reigned and passed with their short life span, and the elves only went through two queens because of their immortal lives, the first stepping down when reaching the age of 4000 and the second following suit.

This brings us to the present were Queen Eilaela and King Adhos rule over Cerulean and Arasne, and King Favian ruled over the empire of Gradia. Though the world is much different than before. Crime rates are high in the forests between the kingdoms as there are no laws preventing anything, and the jobs that were once plentiful for all are now scarce for anyone outside the inner cities close to the royalty.
