The Legend Of Jason

It seemed like a normal day in Jamestown but for Jason it was a special day. It was his birthday. Although it was a birthday like no other. It was the day Jason was sucked into the world of Raynig. Jason had always seemed like a normal boy, unless you looked at what his teachers had always said about him. He seemed to be able to know what was happening before it happened.

“He has always seemed very gifted and can unusually know what we are teaching before we even say it”, was what every teacher replied to his mother when they met together to talk about Jason. You see, Jason knew little about it but it was this what had caused attention to other ‘people’. Jason had the power to see into the future. However unlike many people think seeing into the future isn’t visions. No it is in fact having questions answered to yourself. Just like what happened when Jason woke up that morning on his birthday. The first thought that popped into his mind was “I wonder what we’ll be having for breakfast?” . After he thought that thought an answer came into his head.

It was- “JASON!!!!! FOR THE FINAL TIME COME DOWNSTAIRS FOR BREAKFAST!!!!!!!!!!” his mother screamed. Jason quickly got dressed for the day and yelled,” I’M COMING DOWN NOW MOM!!!”. Jason walked into the room and didn’t see his mother. BAM! Jason only remembered the pain of the person punching him in the face and going unconscious.

If you were to visit Raynig on a day that was completely ordinary, it would seem amazing to you. However, this day was a day like no other. The entire planet knew of Jason being kidnapped, because the whole planet had planned it. Why might they have planned it? Well Raynig was a planet covered. A planet that is covered means they can not be a part of communication with other planets. That is why Earth can not communicate with the other planets in the galaxy. So having someone that could see the future could be very helpful to them. It could prevent them from future attacks, and it could also tell them if they were doing something wrong, but there was a very large factor they didn’t consider. Jason could lie very well.

Jason woke up not knowing where he was. It seemed to look like his room but it had an eerie emptiness to it. Little did Jason know this was not his room. You see, the people on Raynig had the technology to replicate areas of your memory. Like right now, Jason was in his “room“.

“Where am I?” Jason silently wondered.

Then he had gotten the answer, but unlike how he normally had. He did have a vision but it was someone else. It was Louis the Supreme Judge of Galactic Affairs. Louis had been trying to contact Jason, but he was unable because sleep schedules are not considered in space.

“Jason! I am Louis a Supreme Judge! I have finally found you. You are in great danger! You will be kidnapped by the people of Raynig!” “Umm… I’m pretty sure that already happened.” Jason said. “Oh… Well then let me tell you why they kidnapped you.” The Judge had a twinkle in his eye like a librarian about to tell a very good story.

“You see Jason, Raynig wasn’t always a planet that was covered. No it used to be completely peaceful everybody was happy and there were no wars either.”

“But, what happened?” Jason asked.

“Leo.” The judge said bitterly. “ It was his job to make sure that no evil forms came to Raynig, but we could have never guessed that he was one. It was his job from our enemy to make Raynig covered so we could not communicate with the planet. He then would bring a person with the ability to see into the future. He would have full power over the planet and do what he wanted with no limits.”

“But how does this involve me?” Jason asked curiously.

“You see your parents were no ordinary parents. They were members of The Heritage. The Heritage worked with technologies that far exceeded anything that existed in the galaxy. You’re parents were the holders of the keys. The keys gave the holders the ability to see what happens in areas or planets that are covered. However, the keys also gave them glimpses into the future.”

“A-a-are you lying?” Jason stammered.

“Jason you know that I am not lying about this.”The Judge replied. “However the journey you are going to go through will be a hard one. If you wish I can make you the holder of keys. It will enhance your abilities. So I must ask Jason will you take up the position of the holder of keys since no one is fit to hold that title?”

“I accept.”

“Then Jason with the power vested in me, I hereby make you the holder of keys. These are the keys that I have been talking about.”

The keys looked like ordinary keys though. There were only two and they had hexagons on the end. Jason picked them up and the vision was over.

When Jason woke up he didn’t see the room he was in at first. In fact it looked a little like a jail cell.

“Are you Jason?” A voice asked him.

“Maybe”, he replied,”Who are you?”

The strange figure walked up to him.“AH!” Jason screamed.

He had a reason to scream as well. You see the “people” of Raynig looked to say the least weird. They had a face of an animal (lion for male, squid for female) and the body of an insect(a praying mantis.). Nevertheless, the person was hurt.

“What’s the matter?” She asked nicely.

“Um… I’m sorry but I am not used to seeing a face like yours” He replied.

“Well neither am I, but you don’t see me screaming. Anyways I think I look quite nice.” She stood taller when she said this like she was a person of great importance.

“Okay… where am I?” Jason asked seeing if she would tell the truth.“Why Jamestown of course! In fact I am just wearing a costume anyways!” She looked away from Jason’s gaze as if lying.

“Liar. I know exactly where I am.” Jason said getting mad.

“Wh-How did you find out?” She asked suddenly very nervous.

“Ever heard of the supreme judge?” He asked smiling mischievously.

“Enough.” She growled.

“I’m going to take you straight to Leo just as I was asked.” She said still growling.

Jason had no idea how strong the people of Raynig really were so, he was surprised when she lifted him over his shoulder like he was an empty bag.

“Put me down. You don’t know who you are messing with”, Jason said in a tone that he had never spoken in before. In fact it even shocked Jason that he could speak in a voice that low. Usually he talked like a squeaky mouse. The woman just shrugged and kept on walking. Secretly she was thinking how easy it would be to snap Jason’s back.

“I do know who I am messing with Jason. I know all about your “vision” too. I could see you talking to absolutely no one. Or so some may think. I also know about you being, what was it? A Holder of something.”

Jason’s face turned white as he realized what said. She was very close to finding out one of his secrets.

Now Jason knew that she was not going to take him to Leo.
