Chapter 1 (Preperation)

It was dark, too dark to see even three feet in front of me. Yet I still kept running even though I couldn’t see where I was. That’s when I ran into something and that thing was solid and collapsed.

Chapter 1

November 21, 2019. Friday-4:30 pm.

“OMG! I’m late!” I stress.

“Late for what?” Asks my sister.

"Briley, I was supposed to be at Terrianna’s house thirty minutes ago!” I yell at her.

“Well, why aren’t you there?” She asks.

“Because my ride isn’t here even though they told me they were two minutes away half an hour ago, and they still aren’t here!” I scream.

“Oh okay chill out!” Briley says with an attitude.

Ten minutes later- *Ding Dong*

“Where the hell were you?” A ask my friend Trey.

“I’m so sorry. I got caught in traffic so after I got out of it I was speeding so I wouldn’t be late. Then I got pulled over.” They say. “Whatever… let’s just go…” I say.

Three minutes later- *Knock-Knock*

“Hello?” Terrianna says opening the door. “OMG! Brianna where the hell, were you? You were supposed to be here half an hour ago!” She exclaims.

“Yeah, I know! If you want to know why I was late, ask Trey.” I tell her.

“Okay then! Trey, what were you guys late?”

“Um ... the traffic was horrible, and then I also got pulled over while I was on my way to Brianna’s house.”

“Well, are you just going to stand out here when we should be getting ready for prom, or are you going to come inside and get ready?” Asked Terrianna.

“Let’s go in!” I say.

Inside Terriannas bedroom, Terrianna and I are curling our hair and jamming out to the newest music of the month.

“Are you excited for prom?” I ask Terrianna.

"Of course, I am!!!" She squealed.

Ten minutes later we are sitting on her bed next to her full-bodied mirror giving our makeup and hair touchups. Then after we finish that we get our purple and pink ombre and glittery dresses on, and then the high heels. Then take some pictures and get into the limo.

It was a three-minute drive to the school when normally it only took one minute to get there. But that might be the fact that they had to stop and pick up three of their friends because they planned on going together. As soon as they arrived Tomas who is Brianna’s boyfriend approached them. “Hey Terrianna, Sierra, Amy, Bri, and Brianna., Tomas says to the lovely ladies in front of him.

“Hiiiiiiii… Tommaaassssss!” All the girls said but me.

“Hi, Babe!” I say. “Let’s go inside and dance!”

“Okay, princess.” He said.
