Prologue
Kaedan whimpered slightly in the packs torture room as he was being punished by his father.
At first it used to make him sad that his own father would beat him like that and with the Alpha strength of his father it was brutal, but now it only made him disgusted and ashamed at himself; he was 18 and being tortured by his father and he couldn't stop him.
Kaedan couldn't wait for the Alpha battle where he would have to prove that he's capable and strong enough to be the Alpha. Kaedan thought that day he would finally get to beat his father to a pulp: the mere thought had him smirking.
"Am I not beating you harder son? Come on Kaedan you know I don't like punishing you but I have to do what's necessary for you. This is the only way I can test you son. This way I know that you're strong enough to beat me at The Alpha battle. You think I don't want you to be the Alpha? Kaedan I'm literally dying for you to take over son."
When his father spoke like that, that's when it hurt the most. It felt like he actually cared but Kaedan knew it was a trap. The second he spoke or made a sound the speed of Alpha Jackson beating will increase and he'd be punished again.
As Kaedan was being whipped, silently he chanted 'Alpha Battle.'
Little did he know that's where everything will change for better or for worse....
