Summary

Hi, I'm Rebecca, I'm 18 years of age. You don't know me but you will know my story! It begins a day after my mother, Michelle, takes off in the middle of the night. She leaves me in the care of my dear father, Douglass, you can call him Doug. He is a wealthy businessman, and has always given me anything I've ever asked for! Its 2009 now, and our family currently resides in Zanesville, Ohio. Currently I go to North Ridge University, it's quite the standard school with bland over-the-top policies. Don't worry though this is not just some boring story about my life. I'm going to experience some strange happenings, and you'll learn chilling secrets that might change the way you look at life. Are you ready?

Confidence

My mind was racing, every possible answer I came up with seemed wrong. There had to be a reasonable explanation for all of this. The birds outside my window are calming, as I look around at my bright neon green and yellow walls. Little posters tacked in hidden places near my bedside reminded me to stay relaxed. As finally, I decide to get out of bed and head to the bathroom to brush my hair. My reflection in the mirror only saddened me more. My auburn red hair shimmered in the light coming from the window. I finish my hair, and put on some lip gloss. Perfect! My jeans and green t-shirt were neatly folded on the counter, so quickly I took them and put them on.

0

"Rebecca your class starts in 20 min. Your gonna be late if you don't put a rush on it!"he yells at me from the hall.

0

"Don't worry dad I'm going!" I reply back grabbing my bag, keys and jacket from my dresser.

0

I get in my car the leather seats were chilled and the radio on. My wheels felt uneven as I turn onto 5th Avenue towards Canter street. My university sits on the lefthand side of Canter, its surrounded by an overgrowth of trees and bushes. I quickly pull into a spot and grab my things. As I'm rushing into the lecture hall the schools bell rings, and I sit myself quietly in the back.

0

The cold seat pressed against my back and alerted me. The faint sounds of pencils was drilling into my head as my classmates pressed them to their papers. It was making me queasy. I miss my mom, so much, and as I'm trying to process the pages before me. Mr. Hornesworth looks my way.

0

"Rebecca?" He speaks sternly. "Will you please come to the board, I need you to write out 3 historical wars of the 17th century." He is wearing a orange and brown flannel, and his hair is covered by a black cap.

0

"Okay, sir!" I groaned rising sluggishly from my seat. You could tell he sensed the sarcasm in my voice. The room grew silent.

0

Just then I pause, this is absolutely pointless! By this point I realized that I'm standing here, in the middle of the lecture hall. Everyone was looking at me, murmurs float across the void of silence as I stare at my teacher angrily.

0

"I'm going to be blunt with you Hornesworth, NONE of this is my problem. We fight wars every damn day!" I said with a smirk on my face.

0

I grumbled, then paced back to my desk grabbing my things. My teacher and classmates eyes were still hooked to me, and I just could not help myself to say something more.

0

I raised my bag to my back swiftly, "You know teach, you could be making a difference instead of teaching this class!" I said bitterly at him. "Your pathetic!" Laughing at him as I pass by, heading out the door.

0

I glanced back to see that he was not pleased with my actions. He stood there against his wooden desk with a look of disgust.

0

Probably offended the poor guy, I'm sure he's not got laid in decades! I continued to laugh into the hall as I proceeded down the right hall towards my locker. It was dark blue, and my combination was a series of letters and numbers, 4H2S5, it kept me on my toes all these years.

0

I opened my locker, my possessions strung everywhere, and I just needed my jacket. It was in the back, on top of my stack of unorganized paperwork. I jump to reach it grabbing it with my hand. It falls to the ground as my feet land.

0

I quickly pick it up and in a hurry I place my arms into the jacket not realizing there is a glorious yellow stain on the right pocket!

0

"Great!" I say as I storm out the double doors to my car. "Just one more thing to make my damn day!"

0

I'm heading toward my vehicle when I hear the unbearable sounds of screeching coming from behind me. The sound kept gradually getting closer, so I started rushing towards my door. Stumbling frantically I grab at my keys and drop them. The screeching continues as I bend down to grab them. Nervously I turn around to see Lucy. Thank god shes here I think to myself.

0

"Did you hear that Lu?" I said quickly looking around us.

0

"No, what was it?" She replied, "I didn't hear anything."

0

I looked behind me, but there was nothing, just the tall University surrounded by the birds and trees. I didnt know what to say to Lucy, she probably thinks I'm crazy now...

0

"I think I need to go home and lay down. My mind is playing tricks on me!" I said with excitment.

0

She gave me an empathetic embrace that lasted for almost 5 minutes. "Well, can you take me home on your way? My boyfriend blew me off." She asked politely.

0

We both jumped in my car, the interior was soft blue leather that was worn, and the floorboard was trashed. I could tell by the look on Lu's face that she was disgusted. She shoved around some old newspaper and threw some old cups in the back. Then she climbed in watching her step.

0

"Girl you need to clean your car!" Lu said loudly.

0

"I know, its not like I usually have company." I replied.

0

The remains of the ride home was fairly silent as we pulled off Canter, and onto 6th Avenue. We followed it all the way to a small gravel road named Dristine Dr. It was long and the rocks flew off as we came to her drive.

0

"Here we are!" I shouted. Startling Lucy in the passenger side.

0

"Did that make you feel any better?" Lu said. "You could always come in, my parents like you!" She said with a smile.

0

"Thanks, maybe another time. I've got to get home to father. He seemed okay this morning, but I bet he is a wreck by now!" I spoke excitedly with a weary smile.

0

"Anytime girl! You're always welcome!" She said as she opened the car door and stepped out. "I love you hoe!"

0

"Love you too, B***ch!" I replied.

0

She made me felt a little better in that moment. It quickly passed though as she skipped up to her house and disappeared.
