Intro
“Adeya? Are you even listening to me right now?” Mr Groves was yelling. “Is anyone listening?!” He was obviously in pure and utter annoyance at the fact that everyone had chosen to not pay any attention to him, but in all honestly he should be used to it by now. What else would u expect from a bunch of teenagers in a crowded classroom in the middle of April? Anyways Adeya, the most important girl in school, who just came from London. She’s by no means the most popular but she’s got a lot going for her just not many people on her side. That is except for her “crew” . At Westside High School, Atlanta it’s the same as every high school. Nothing different or extraordinary just school.
The bell rings signalling the end of the day and as usual everyone picks up their stuff and makes a run for the door almost knocking Mr Groves off his feet. “Make sure you get that homework in by next Thursday you lot!” He yells, sighing and sitting down on his chair. “Sir! Um , sir ! I just wanted to ask you something about the homework!” Mr Groves picked up his head and sighed “You really don’t need to. Whatever you do with it you always get straight A’s in every homework. Now if you’d excuse me I’d quite like a nap. Off you go Mia!” He mumbled. “No but Mr Groves I just wanted to ask you...” she started but he waved his hand at her in refusal to speak as he wiped the sweat off his forehead. Mia looked annoyed but she soon enough realised she didn’t need any help and could almost indefinitely do it all by herself and headed off to home.
It was half past eight when Adeya got home after sitting at a cafe talking to her parents for hours, and she unlocked the door to find her friends doing what they were always doing. Though the place was pretty big there was still more than enough of them living there. Brielle was braiding her hair as the fashionista of the group she always had to look her best. Desire (Brielle’s boyfriend and the smart one) and Keandre (the sports maniac and tough guy) were sat playing Need For Speed swearing and yelling when one of them lost. For a bunch of 15-17 year olds they definitely were not the most mature people. Aura (the boss of the group)was in her room taking as many selfies as possible of herself. Mia ( Jaedan’s girlfriend a.k.a the one whose basically good at everything) and Jaedan (the most popular and gorgeous guy at school) were cuddling on the sofa watching TV. Nova wasn’t home yet, no surprise to anyone. Adeya had come to America about a year ago to study she’d made friends pretty quickly and she was surprised she did as they were the most popular group at school. They all accepted her and she’d even been invited to live with them but she still somehow never felt like she fit in. It was hard being the one person in a group who everyone outside thinks of as irrelevant and “not anything special” . “Yo, Ade come join us girl!” Yelled Keandre. Adeya politely declined and went up to her room. She didn’t like not feeling a part of them but yet she didn’t make any effort to join in their activities and make herself feel welcome. It’s always tough being the new girl even after almost a year of not being new.
