Chapter 1: Aria Meets the Doctor
“Mum, I don’t want to go to school tomorrow”, said Aria in a whiny voice, “you know everyone laughs at me!”. She was an outcast ever since her 7th grade year when she told her class about how “the mad man with a blue box” was real and how she dreamt about him every night. Her class laughed and gibed at her and from then on made fun of her. Amy moved Aria’s hair behind her ear and kissed her forehead, “I know you’re not big on school hon, but you always come home in one piece so I know you’re surviving it”. Aria didn’t say anything else and walked outside and headed to school, and as she walked the only thought that came up was, “When will the Doctor come save me?”. When she got to school she expected the daily routine she lived every day. What she didn't know was that the most unexpected event was about occur. She had no idea that her life would change.
“Alright class today in science we will be learning about the possibilities of time travel”, said the teacher. Aria raised her eyebrows but tried to look tepid, she knew if she showed any interest on her face she’d be slapped with words of hatred from everyone in class. All of a sudden an unusual sound came about and reiterated. . “VAHROOM, VAHROOM VAHROOM VAHROOM!” Aria looked up from her desk quickly and her eyes became as wide as golf balls. In the front of the classroom stood a blue 1960’s police phone box, the box that was bigger on the inside. The door of the box opened and The Doctor stumbled out. “Is Aria in this class?” asked the Doctor. The Mad Man with a Blue Box had finally come. The whole class became direction signs and pointed their fingers to where Aria was sitting. She slowly stood up and softly said, “I’m right here.” She said shyly. “Doctor..you finally came..” She continued. The Doctor walked towards Aria with a smile, “Why hello there! I apologize for not coming to see you sooner I seemed to have lost track of time! Oh boy! Finally I get to scan and read you!” The Doctor took out his Sonic Screwdriver and scanned her head to toe. His cheery expression on his face changed quickly and he grimaced. “Aria, my dear….” said the Doctor in a whisper very tentative tone, “.... you’re a Time Lord.”
