Chapter 1

Our future superheroes were living in a crowded college dorm on the planet PSR B1620-26b. In this novel I have relocated it to the spiral arm opposite of ours for the sake of convenience. This is fiction so I can do that if I want.

Their ages ranged around 18 or 19 Earth years I guess. They were all studying geology and mining-related subjects so they could easily get a job on one of the many the excavation ships cruising about the Universe. A most boring and mind-numbing job but the pay was good and the jobs were plenty. Employees tended to retire early because of all the time spent away from home.

So this is their lot at the moment.

angeliccove: I like the way it’s written, as if Iona is talking to the readers. Moving constantly from the past to present; letting readers in into the misunderstanding, heartache, loss, etc. I’m glad it’s a happy ending. Love it!

Heika van Walderveen: I had to get used to the style. It’s a lot of switching and getting back into the story of the characters. Also the different timelines were a bit confusing in the beginning. But once you’re used to it, it’s really quite original. The plot is good, but it’s only book 1 (out of 3), but so far so good...
