Episode 1: A Quiet Place

“Today is not only Halloween, but it is also the two year anniversary local heroes Brooklynn Cox, Aaron Sanchez, Sam Kane, Cooper Scott, and Emma Knight, now dubbed “The Five of Karen”, took down a trio of serial killers, Madison Rollins, Becca Sanchez-Cox, and Andy Sanchez-Cox. While Becca’s body still ahs yet to be found today we still rest assured her wounds were fatal. Today though, we have caught wave that Aaron Sanchez, one of the “Five of Karen”, is returning to town after leaving last year due to his parent’s admitting him in a mental retreat up in New York because of him suffering a mental break on the one year anniversary. We hope he his well and wish him luck on his first day back as a senior at KHS tomorrow.” says a newscast reporting on today, the two year anniversary of the death of the killers.

“Come on guys! This has to be perfect!” says Sam Kame as he instructs the gang on setting everything up for Aaron’s welcome home party. “Oh, calm down, you’d think I’d be the more anal one considering I’m his best friend.” says Brooklynn Cox. “What can I say, I strive to be a good boyfriend.” says Sam. “Speaking of that, how the hell have you guys managed to keep you’re relationship stable for the past year?” asks Emma Knight. “Well, lucky for me his mom made so I got visitor privileges so I went down every weekend and I would stay at a motel and visit with him until visiting hours were over.” answers Sam. “I’m sorry, how the hell could you have afforded that?” asks Cooper Scott. “Let’s just say, I’ve been working two jobs, and I just quit one today.” answers Sam as the gang all laugh. They then hear Crystal Bell, Aaron’s mom, pull into the driveway. “Everyone, hide.” Instructs Brooklynn.

“Mom, I’m fine, just a little tired and want to see my friends.” Aaron Sanchez says as they walk in the door. “Surprise!” The gang says as they pop out. “Guys, you shouldn’t have.” Aaron says. “Well too bad, we have missed you to much to not celebrate, now get your ass over here and give your best friend a hug!” Brooklynn says as she walks over and hugs Aaron. “You are never allowed to leave for that long again!” Emma says as she hugs him. “I’ve missed you, dude.” Cooper says as he hugs him. “Now you can kiss me.” Aaron says as Sam goes to hug him and instead, they kiss. “Ew.” Emma says. “Get a room!” Brooklynn says. The gang then all laugh.

After a few hours of laughing and catching up, the gang part ways. “I’ll see you guys at school tomorrow.” Aaron says as he waves his friends off. He turns around and Brooklynn is still sitting on the couch. “Jesus, you scared the shit out of me!” Aaron says. “Come here, sit down, we need to talk.” Brooklynn says. “Oh god, what did I do?” Aaron asks. “Nothing, I just want to know, why did I never get to see you?” Brooklynn asks. “Well, for the record, I didn’t even want Sam there. I just wanted to do my school work for the rest of Sophomore Year and Junior Year. But, my doctor thought he would be good for my recovery.” Aaron answers. “And I wouldn’t?” Brooklynn asks. “No, my doctor didn’t want me to see too many of you guys or she said it might trigger my PTSD or something.” Aaron answers. “Okay, we are still friends though, right.” Brooklynn asks. “The best.” Aaron answers.

After that, Brooklynn leaves and Aaron heads to bed. At around three in the morning, he gets a text from Sam that says, “Meet me at the abandoned farm”. Aaron then gets dressed and heads out. When he gets there, he sees Brooklynn. “What are you doing here?” He asks. “You texted me to come here.” She answers. They then see Cooper. “Hey, I got your text.” He says to Brooklynn. Then Emma arrives. “Why are you guys looking at me like that.” She says. “Who texted you?” Brooklynn asks. “Aaron?” She says. They then go into the barn and see Sam’s lifeless body hanging, sawn in half. Aaron immediately screams and falls down in tears. “Oh my god.” Brooklynn says. “No.” Cooper says. “How?” Emma asks.

“It’s happening again.” Is all Aaron says.
