Summary

“I have really been trying to get to know u”. “But every time I try you turn cold again, and won’t talk to me”. I said. “I like u Aaron okay? Even though I won’t admit it, I like u”. I felt a cold tear fall down my chin. I could hear the aggressive rain, from the door frame Aaron was standing in. Still with his back at me. I felt the tears slowly falling down my cheeks. “So what have I ever done, to make u hate me this much?” I sobbed quietly. We were standing about 6 feet apart. But I could still hear his heavy breath. And then he walked out the door frame. Out in the rain. Without saying a word. I ran to the door frame, to see where he was going. But he was gone. What did I think of? A big romantic gesture? I’m so fucking stupid. Now he probably just thinks I’m a weirdo. Suddenly I felt a cold, hand on my arm. The hand turned me around, and I’m looking directly into a pair of beautiful, dark brown eyes. - Allison Winther. Kind hearted and Smiling on the outside. Broken and tired on the inside. After her past of bad trust and broken promises, Allison no more believes in love and only trusts herself. But that changes when she starts at Bradville high. Bradville has a mysterious past, and have already decided Ali’s future. Ali also meets Aaron, the typical player. Everyone falls for him, except Ali. She knows that with love comes broken hearts. But is that enough.

A New beginning

Hi everyone! This is my first chapter of the book I’m trying to make. It’s my first time ever writing a story to Inkitt, and I hope I can write something u will like.

Also another thing before I start. I’m a girl from Denmark, who loves to write in English, but I can make a couple mistakes on that account, and for that, I will say sry now;)

Another thing is that I love to make people have these ‘Wait?’ Moments. So while reading you’ll maybe find some familiar moments from movies. It’s not totally copied of course, but u will probably recognize them.

I hope you like what I’m writing. I’m really just writing what appears in my head:)

I looked at the window. The rain dripped down the car, and made small patterns of water drops. I felt the cold wind through the glass. Like a minty breath.

“Aren’t u excited?” My mom asked, breaking my thoughts.

I ignore her. I’m not in the mood for talking right now. If she thinks she can force me to go to a stupid school, bc she thinks I’ll get a “new start”, and then just talk to me like nothing happened, she’s very much wrong. Normally u would of course have seen the school before u start, but this was kind of an emergency plan.

I look at her trough the car mirror, and give her a bitchy look.

“Seriously?” She says.

I look back out the window. The wind is pushing the big trees, back and forth. Small leafs are falling to the ground, and landing on the wet surface of the side of the road. And then I see it. A big building, appears at my sight. It looks old, with green plants all over the outside. It’s still kinda cool though.

I grab my bags from the car, and walk towards the entrance. It’s not what I imagined at all. I just imagined a basic school, with red bricks and black roof. There’s trees everywhere around the school, and it makes it kinda mysterious. I must admit, this does look kinda exciting. But that doesn’t mean I’m okay with the fact that my mom is making me stay here, against my own will. The only reason I’m not running away right now is bc, I just wanna get away from home right now. School was just not what I imagined to be my escape plan.

When I get inside, a brown haired girl walks towards me. She smiles at me.

“Hi! U must be Allison Winter am I right?” She says.

“Yup. That’s me” I say, trying to put a little smile on my face. I don’t want to seem rude, when she’s trying to be nice to me. And since I’m probably gonna stay here for a while, I can at least try to make a good first impression.

“I’m Bella” she says, and pulls her hand up. I shake her hand politely, and give it a little squeeze.

“I’m a student here at Bradville, and im your new roommate! I’m also the one who is going to show u around” she says excited.

I give her a little smile. I’m actually happy about my roommate, she seems really nice.

“Hi Bella! I’m Ali’s mom, nice to meet u!” Says the voice behind me.

My mom shakes her hand.

“Are u staying for the show around?” Bella asks my mom. I cross my fingers behind my back. In hope that she has something to do.

“No I really have to get going, but if u need anything or forgot something just give me a call okay Ali?” She smiles at me. I simply nod at her, and put my focuse back on Bella.

“Okay then follow me!” Bella says. I smile at her, and follow.

“So I think it’s a good idea if we start with our room, so that u can put your bags in there” she says.

“Sounds good to me” I say.

She politely grabs one of my bags. I look confused at her but she just smiles at me and puts the bag over her shoulder. She then begins to walk up the stairs, and I just follow her like a baby duckling. When we get up the stairs there’s a small room with sofas, and a tv. Three students was already sitting there. They all looked at me, and whispered. Oh don’t we just love being the new girl. We then got to a little hall, with a lot of doors. Bella pointed at the last door on the left, and walked in. The room was small. Two beds on each side of the room, and a long desk in the middle. Two chairs, and a dresser at the door.

“So this is our room, hope u like it” Bella says. I smile at her in response, and put my bags on the empty bed.

“So Ali, is it okay if I call u Ali? I just heard your mom call u that and I thought it-”.

“Ali is fine” I interrupt. I giggle a little for her non stop talking, and she automatically giggles too.

“Okay Ali, let’s show u around then” she says, putting pressure on Ali.

*a little time after*

Bella has been showing me around for 20 minutes now. She has showed me the cafeteria, the meet location, the other dorm halls, and the different class rooms.

“So that’s pretty much everything u need to see inside” she says. Thank god, my legs were about to fall off.

“Now follow me outside”. Before I get to think any further, she pulls my arm and quickly walk out the door. I almost fall on the way out.

We get to a little outside place, with tables. Two boys and a girl is sitting at one of them. Bella pulls me towards them. Wait? Is she going to present me to her friends. Well it would be nice with some friends, if I’m going to survive this school year. When we get to the table, they were talking abt something. But they stopped immediately when they saw me.

“Ali this is everyone, everyone this is Ali!” Bella says excited. She gives my shoulder a little squeeze, and then sits down besides the brown haired boy. I let out a little nervous smile.

“Hi Ali, I’m Vanessa! And this is Ben and Xander” Vanessa points at a blond haired boy, and then at the brown haired boy. I’m guessing the brown haired boy is Xander.

“Are u just gonna stand there?” Bella breaks my thoughts.

“It’s nice to meet u” I simply say. I force out a little smile, so I don’t seem rude by the silence. I sit down beside Vanessa. It’s kinda awkward. They’re all looking at me, like they’re expecting me to say something. But when they realize I’m not going to say anything, they finally start talking.

”Guys I’m gonna go to my room, and pack out my stuff if it’s okay” I ask. I don’t wanna seem rude, but I really just wanna be alone right now. All the staring eyes on the new girl, are killing me.

“Okay, u want me to help u?” Bella asks.

“No it’s okay, I’ll see u around” I smile. I stand up, and walk towards the school.

“She seems nice” I hear a voice behind me. I catch myself smiling at the kind words. Maybe this is not gonna be that bad. Maybe I’m actually going to have fun here. Before I get to think any further, I walk into something hard.
