The little girl stabbed herself with her sewing needle as she jumped at the vision she saw in the corner of her eye. She was so enthralled by what she thought she saw, that she didn’t notice the prick on her finger, or the blood on her silk night gown.
She gasped at the sight of the blood. She hurriedly stood up, left her bedroom, and went to the commode. With her good hand— she stood on her toes, and reached for the faucet. She started to rinse off her finger. Mommy’s no not going to approve of the blood on my gown, she thought in dismay. Closed the lid of the wash closet and sat down.
She was bewildered by what she had seen, and also why had her finger bleed so much so quickly. She thought she had only looked away for a second, or maybe less. Had the thing she’d seen really capture her full attention for that long? What was it? She thought. It looked like a shadow.
She then blared a grotesque cry into the silent atmosphere, and cowered into a ball, as another shadow like creature ran across the room. She saw it that time, it was undoubtedly a shadow man.
She felt as though her heart would spring out of her chest and skim across the room. She sat coiled for a long moment. Watching for any movement in the room, but didn’t try and listen for sound, because she heard stories about the shadow men, they never made a sound. Not any type of noise.
Then abruptly, in an instant everything went black. Not dark as if someone had turned off the lights, but black such as an abysmal nothingness.
She couldn’t feel her body anymore. She had been extracted from existence. Her soul will crumble away in this macrocosm, In till there’s nothing left.
The little girl had a desperate wish to cry, but miserably, the tears had no place to come from.
AUTHOR’S NOTE~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This is my first actual story ever, in my whole life. I always made some sort of comic. So any sort of criticism is welcomed, nice and rude:)
