Chapter One

Summer was finally making its way in and so he was driving with the top down as he cruised along the motorway. It gave him a confidence that he rarely felt, although that could be, at least in part, down to the new suit. He’d been informed at the interview stage that dressing smartly was an essential part of the role and investing in several new items of clothing would be sensible. He’d favoured a blue suit. A change to his normal style was long overdue. Usually he’d get nervous the closer he got to something new, but this felt like an adventure, like it might be good for him, like he was heading home after a long time away.

The School never ceased to amaze him. He’d been researching about them for a very long time, but it still went above and beyond his expectations. Every phone call and interview from the Headteacher just seemed like a friendly check-up. He’d only met a few members of staff so far and today he’d get the chance to meet the rest. How could a school with this reputation be so calm? He admired the freshly mown grass as he pulled up to the large iron gates. A small voice asked for his name and once recognised he drove on through.

The moment he had parked and gotten out of the vehicle a welcoming committee seemed to mysteriously form around him. Mr Dale, the headteacher, was leading a small entourage of three girls dressed in maid’s outfits. They stood in a line by the entrance to the building. Cameron put his keys back in his pocket and took several pointed steps in their direction. “Mr Everest, welcome back! We’re delighted to have you.” He held out his hand towards him. Cameron smiled and shook it. “Shall we?” Mr Dale began leading the way out of the morning warmth and into the welcome coolness of Reception. The girls remained perfectly still in their line; then one after the other, they curtseyed politely before following the men in. These girls seemed to be the Headteacher’s personal attendants, the best of the best. Not a single item of their outfit was out of place, not so much a stray hair (which was nigh on impossible), although clearly the reason for their favouritism was not just their looks but the manner in which they carried themselves.

Every time Cameron had been taken for a tour round the School, it had impressed him. Although to many it seemed like boring white walls and expensive art, Cameron noticed how often the paint was fixed, how often the paintings were changed, how the girls own artwork had been hung up alongside some of the most valuable art in the entire building. It was a place for growth despite what outsiders may think. They reached his office, and the girls took their positions, ready to tuck chairs in under both men. Cameron took his seat and the girls instantly moved to stand in the corners of the room. They stood with perfect posture, laced their fingers together, their hands in front of them and bowed their heads to the floor.

“The girls will be delighted to meet you I’m sure. The plan for today is that you’ll be observing one of our current teachers, get a lay of the land and find out who to keep your eye on and then your first will be tomorrow morning at 9:30.” Mr Dale pushed a sheet of paper across his desk towards Cameron who was nodding attentively. His eyes scanned the timetable, questioning the ins and outs of every lesson title.

“Obviously the classes aren’t exactly the same every day. The introductions, mealtimes and debrief stay the same but the poor things would get bored. Unlike regular schools we care about our students wellbeing. They need variety.”

Cameron was trying his best to focus on the Headteacher, but he couldn’t help but wonder what would happen when all the girls in a room started fighting over the teacher? His mind was drifting, he’d have to train himself out of that. Considering the level of distraction around him, it may take a while. The eldest of the girls had been in training for nearly the full two years, and honestly, it showed. If you watched them move through the building you could easily separate them into groups. The newer girls walked quickly, almost at a run, but the older girls moved silently, fast, they’d perfected the art of being unseen. Cameron blinked hard and looked back to Mr Dale.

“I’ll take you to the Hall for the Morning Introduction myself, then you can say hello to the girls before we eat breakfast. I think you’ll find their dedication extremely satisfying…” Mr Dale stood up and the girls looked to him knowing they had to be in the hall. He dismissed them with a nod, and they filed out of the room.

“How long does it take them to get that good?” Cameron’s eyes obviously on the girls as they walked away, however much he tried to hide it.

“Those girls paid extra to stay longer than their contracts. See, the girls are free to leave at any time, but the majority choose to stay. While they’re here they abide by our rules, our rewards, and our punishments. They consent to everything, but they have the right to retract it at any point.” The Headteacher walked beside Cameron this time so they were on a more equal footing. He stared down the hallway, confused as to how the girls got so far ahead of them.

“Be seen and not heard,” Mr Dale smirked, recognising the look of bedazzlement in Cameron’s eyes, “a classic Victorian motto and one that works quite well for the girls when they want it to.”

Although Cameron had known he was a dominant for several years, he hadn’t done as much in-depth training as Mr Dale. Of course he could handle the equipment, and he knew the safety behind everything else he wouldn’t pick up a single item that could cause harm. But there were many teachers in the building with far more experience than him. Perhaps that’s why today was just observation, the Headteacher wanted to see how he reacted to the girls. And after all, it was a school, it was meant to provide a learning experience for everyone, not just the girls.

Reaching the hall, Cameron and Mr Dale stood at two large oak double doors. He could hear the gentle chatter of the girls, clearly content. Mr Dale swung both doors open. Instant silence. There must have been two maybe three hundred girls all kneeling on the floor. Some with kneepads, others just coping with the pain. Mr Dale clicked his fingers and all the girls fell into first positions. Their hands slid forward on the floor, their foreheads pressed to the cold wooden flooring and their ass in the air. He walked down the centre aisle and climbed up the steps to the stage. He beckoned for Cameron to follow. One of the girl’s heads turned slightly to the side at the sound of a second pair of footsteps, her eyes tracking his dress shoes.

“Lucy. Position 1.” Mr Dale corrected her without even looking back. She quickly moved into place. As he reached the stage, he clicked again. The girls all went back to kneeling, their eyes widened as they smiled at his appearance. “Good morning girls.”

They all smiled as they chorused their response, “Good morning, Master Dale.”

Cameron stood to Master Dale’s right, joining the line of teachers. Naturally, he was trying to seem respectable. Hands behind his back and standing up straight. After all, he had a room full of girls to make an impression on. Master Dale stood in front of a wooden lectern with a small, laminated book on it. It looked brand new. Was it replaced every morning or just cared for ridiculously well?

“As always, let’s go through the school rules, for the new girls.”

Cameron was careful to listen to these. He would have to enforce them daily.

1. No swearing of any kind will be tolerated. Girls do not use crass language.

2. Uniforms are to always be clean. You may be excused from class to change should something happen during that lesson.

3. Teachers should always be addressed as Mr, Master or Sir on default. However, if a teacher has a preference, you will learn it.

4. You will be on time. Even a single minute late will earn you a punishment.

5. If a teacher asks for your attention, it is given. Completely. They should not have to ask for it in the first place.

“Breaking any of these rules results in a punishment entirely up to the teacher of your class. However, if I hear of any bratty behaviour or that you’ve been purposely ignoring the rules, I will deal with you myself. Do I make myself perfectly clear?” He put a hand to his ear like he was talking to children. If Cameron had been spoken to like that, he would’ve felt angry at being spoken down to but the fact the girls all smiled at his actions and giggled back a, “Yes Master Dale!” just made him smile. They enjoyed being made to feel lesser than their teachers. They are here because they want to be, because they feel that they don’t fit in anywhere else.

“Good girls. Position 17.”

The girls moved from their knees to standing in two moves. All of them stood with their legs slightly apart and held their hands at their sides. Their shoulders were all rolled back, and their posture, as always, was perfect. Master Dale walked up and down the stage briefly checking everyone was properly in place. “Excellent! Not a single girl out of place. You have impressed me already.”

Master Dale stood centre stage and called Cameron over to stand in front of the lectern, “Now girls, this is Mr Cameron Everest.” The girls were all smiling up at him, Lucy was smiling the hardest, seemingly trying to make up for her blunder earlier. “Good morning, Mr Everest,” some were blushing, some were desperately trying to get him to make eye contact. Master Dale whispered in his ear. “You’ll enjoy this. Say this and this exactly: Girls, what are you grateful for?” Cameron frowned inquisitively but Mr Dale’s smile told him this would be good.

He stepped up to the lectern and proudly asked the question. “Girls. What are you grateful for?”

“We are grateful for our Master Dale, who teaches us our place. We are grateful for our teachers who teach us politeness and grace. We are grateful for these lessons, that teach us all we know. We are nothing but submissives who need some room to grow.”

Cameron grinned like an idiot. Hearing a room full of girls essentially say they are dependent on their teachers and learning to be lesser was something he hadn’t expected to make him that happy. He had definitely made the right choice mixing his teaching skills with his dominant side.

“Thank you, girls,” Mr Dale took over and Cameron stepped back slightly allowing the girls to focus on him instead, “enjoy your breakfast. Dismissed.” He walked down the steps of the stage; the teachers followed him out. The girls all curtseyed before wandering off to the canteen for breakfast.

Master Dale was smiling and seemed a lot less harsh now, like he’d gotten something out of his system just by listening to them. It was true that submissives had a huge effect on their dominants. They weren’t heartless human beings, they were just wired a little different.

“How’d you feel now?” Master Dale turned to Cameron who was now walking at his side.

“Like I’m in the right place.”
