Planning

Jenny was so excited for her Halloween party! "Oh, I want to invite everyone! Just make a list and let's go!

Kat was one of Jenny's best friends since childhood and she already had the feeling Jenny was going overboard!

"I know you! You are going to go insane, send Facebook invites, post on Twitter and probably even throw a crazy photo on insta!" Kat never said Instagram, it was a slight annoyance for Jenny but she was in such a good mood, she didn't care.

Jenny was short and petite with a thin build. She has long hair. It was a mix of colors from spending time outside all summer. Her fall hair color she would settle with would be a slight blonde with a little brunette mixed through. She had delicate features and talked with her hands as much as she talked.

Kat has light brown hair with wispy bangs was a little shorter than Jenny but neither one of the ever cared what the other looked like. They were friends and that is what mattered.

"Okay, so you need to be logical about this party," Kat stared at Jenny as she scrolled through Instagram on her phone. "I have to invite Derek, I just have to!" Jenny looked up briefly as Kat was opening the fridge. "What do you want to eat?" Kat stared at her for seconds until Jenny popped up out of her chair and said, "lets make tacos!"

Kat had moved in Jenny's house after her boyfriend dumped her for a girl she was working with. Kat was devastated and spent months trying to find a place until she finally gave in to live with Jenny and her cat Mr. Myers. Jenny named him after Michael Myers, from the film "Halloween."

Jenny grew up with her mom. Her dad was long gone and Jenny didn't believe in that whole, single girl with daddy issues. She dated, had long relationships and short ones. She wanted a man who a man's man! She loved being in relationships but the thought of getting married scared her more than the marathon of scary movies Jenny was about to endure.

"Okay, I am grabbing a taco kit and you start cutting tomatoes, lettuce and grab the salsa." Kat smirked as Jenny picked two tomatoes off her counter from a set of four she has sitting on a paper plate stick attached to the vine. She opened the fridge and pulled out a half of head of lettuce.

Jenny opened her kitchen drawer and grabbed a knife and a plate out of her cabinet and began chopping away. Kat turned the stove on and threw some ground turkey burger in a frying pan with taco seasoning and walked away from the stove for a few minutes.

She knew how anal Jenny was and that she would watch the meat even though she was in the middle of chopping lettuce like Gordon Ramsey!

"Jen, I have to text Mark. I want to invite him."

"Uggghhh, I thought you said you didn't like him!" Jenny raised her eyebrows at Kat as she watched her type away and eventually smirk at Jenny and hit send!

"So you texted him?"

"Yeah, too much? Too soon? Shit, I can't stop it from sending!"

Jenny just started laughing! She knew Kat would regret it in the morning!

Halloween had always been Jenny's favorite time of year and living in Pennsylvania, Jenny had experienced all the seasons although she will be the first to admit, she would rather be on a beach.

"Ugh, it is getting cold out!" Jenny closed and triple locked the back door. "Why not just get a guard dog?" Kat eyed her as at times Jenny was slightly obsessive compulsive and had to triple check her doors.

Jenny used to suffer from night terrors and had a bad experience when she was a child so despite her Halloween enthusiam, she was careful.
