Prologue

Some legends say the world was in order ages ago.

Others think that it was in chaos.

The folks of the world were mainly living on three main continents and distant islands between them. For hundreds of thousands of years, tribes lived in their secluded territories without knowing the outside of their own world, unable to move beyond their borders.

Natural borders, which were surrounded by thick forests, endless deserts or the unforgiving ocean with various predators and unknown dangers. They hardly knew the existence of other tribes. Even if they knew they forgot after a few generations and never left their territories to conquer others.

They were basically unwilling to invade other places. They were not even thinking about invading. The concept of invasion was to be founded much later.

Few hundred years before the fall of their empire, some alien race appeared on earth. After a relatively short moment, this “human” conquerors claimed every part of the living plane. They enslaved many, while let some be independent if they found them exotic enough. Taught and often enforced their way of living to most of them. Folks of the earth had acquired their current names such as Elfs, Orcs, Goblins, Dwarfs and Gnomes, Trolls and many others. The other creatures were nothing but raw materials to be used in the eyes of humans.

Humans domesticated animals, cultured the land, built great kingdoms, even conquered the waters and sailed to all three continents. They took everything they saw function in them and leave the other to perish. They brought full-scaled wars to earth. Murdered countless of souls, mostly their own.

There was one other being derived from the will of the earth after this alien invasion. They called them “monsters” and hunted them for sport. They told stories about them, made sure the young generations to be aware of. Encouraged their heroes to fight with those creatures.

The monsters were manifestations of anger and frustration of nature itself. Every now and then half-sentient life forms were being born with some conscious. Most of them had some stronger but quite twisted instinct than their so-called original forms.

Their physical appearances and strengths were a lot different too. Most of them had bigger teeth, bigger claws and bodies, some had mysterious abilities and some were completely different what they should have been in the first place.

Again after a relatively short period of terror, the humans saw the potential of these monsters, most of their bodies with unique features and sources of their unnatural powers.

That was the beginning of the age of adventurers. The society became more stable and hunting monsters became an occupation. Corpses of monsters became a commodity.

With the help of those unnatural powers, the human empire reached to every part of the world properly this time. Different races joined them and build their own societies within the empire. Blooded wars mostly replaced with trade deals and unhappy marriages.

And everyone lived in prosper.

Until one day.

One day the humans vanished from the surface of the earth without a trace. In a split second, there was not a single human living on earth anymore. Streets, castles, fields and ships were left empty, just like that.

Soon after the races began to fight with each other more violently than before to claim the fallen empire. There was chaos and confusion everywhere.

They banded among themselves. They made self-appointed kingdoms consisting only their kind and declared others as enemies. The war industry flourished unexpectedly.

And the Great War overshadowed the whole world like an invisible dark cloth up in the sky.

Until the most unexpected kingdom has founded.

This is the epic saga of that kingdom.
