Chapter 1
My family never really approved anything i did.
They always judged me for what i did. Here are a few reasons.
1. Im bisexual.
I came out and they told me to leave so i did. Then they found out where i was and took me home. Well the police did anyway.
2. I hang around with all boys.
They dont like that either. I think its the fact that they think i do things with them.
3. Im in a band.
I dont get this one. It might have something to do with the fact that its filled with boys. But whatever the reason they dont like it.
4. I like music and art
They want me to be a lawyer or a doctor. Nothing that interests me though.
There are more. But they are the main ones. Lets talk about my friends.
Alex. He was the one that let me stay at his whenever i wanted. I was at his house after my parents kicked me out for being bisexual. He came out as gay at the same time i came out as bi. His parents didn’t except but didn't really do anything about it. They just distanced themselves from him, like a lot. He was the one i met first.
Luke. He and alex used to date, until they decided that their relationship wasnt working out but they are still friends and the best thing is, its not awkward. Luke and his parents argue a lot so he is normally couch surfing. He jumps from alexs to bobbys couch. We are close. We have similar problems so we normally talk to each other about everything.
Bobby. He and me aren't that close. But i still class him as a really good friend. He helps me write songs and gives me inspiration for my art.
Then we have Reggie. Me and Reggie are the closest in the group. He always comes to me for hugs whenever he leaves his house for a few hours. His mom and dad argue so whenever they do he is always at my house. He is my shoulder to lean on and I’m his.
All of us created a band call sunset curve. Our band is like our escape. Each and every one of us use it for the same reason. Parents.
Bobby’s parents aren’t that bad. They care about us and so they are like our parents. They don’t care about things like sexuality or who we hang around with, well as long as we aren’t doing drugs.
