Abandonment

"Mommy!! Mama please! Please!! Where are you?" I cried out as

I ran through the brightly lit field that was filled with so many different wild flowers I had become overwhelmed and distracted by the beauty. I have no idea how long I was playing in the field before I lost sight of my mother but all I knew was that I was lost. I continued calling for her even though I knew she was never coming back. Why was I so stupid as to believe that she would keep me? I knew she wanted to get rid of me. Mommy never wanted me. I know this because I heard her say so several times when she thought I was asleep. She thought i was asleep but really i was just pretending. I had woken up one night because she was talking so loudly on her phone. She told whoever she was talking to that she didn't want me. She said I was a mistake and that she never wanted a child. Ever since that night I layed awake pretending to be asleep while she talked on the phone. Sometimes she would be talking to people about getting a job, or she would be talking to some guy about going on a date. she didn't talk about me very often though. I still don't trust her so I stayed awake until she ended her calls. After about 5 days of this I heard her telling someone about how I had broken a plate and threw a fit about having to clean it up. This wasn't true and I know she knew it. Yes I had broken the plate but it was an accident and i told her I was sorry, and that i would try to pick it up but she didn't listen she just screamed at me and told me to go to my room until i was told to come out again. I stayed in my room until about noon the next day. I was really hungry too because mommy had forgotten I was in my room still or maybe she just didn't care. When I got to the kitchen she told me that I could have some bread to eat while she made food for a picnic that she had planned to take me on. I was really excited so I forgot to be upset with her and ran over to the pantry to get a piece of bread. After I had grabbed the bread I ran up to my room so I could pick out a nice picnic outfit. I chose my favorite purple sweater with a pair of baby pink leggings I then ran over to

My toy chest because I wanted to bring my favorite stuffed animal whom I named sir sparkles. He was an adorable black teddy bear with sparkly things in his fur hence the name. His bright blue eyes seemed to glow and he had a very proper looking top hat. When I saw him at the store I knew I just had to have him! I had his name picked out and everything and I was so happy that mommy let me buy him. As I grabbed him out of the toy chest I told him all about the adventure mommy would take us on. I told him that we could search for fairies and maybe stumble on a magical place like Narnia or fable haven. "mommy could be there too!! Oh and we can go on so many adventures!" I don't know how long I was telling sir sparkles about our adventure but it must have been a while because my mom suddenly appeared in the doorway holding one of my favorite backpacks which I assumed had food in it for our picnic.

"are you ready to go?"

"Yup!! So where are we going momma?"

" it's a surprise."

"Oh okay!!"

Two hours later we had arrived at our destination. My mommy told me that we needed to walk a while before we found the perfect picnic spot. She told me to find the perfect spot so I began running ahead of her, searching for the perfect spot. When I finally found a pretty little meadow filled with beautiful flowers I started picking them to make a bouquet for mommy. Once I had a big handful of flowers I started going back towards mommy, but when I turned around she was gone. I began calling for her but I never heard a reply then started retracing my steps in hopes that I would find her again but I never did. All I found was sir sparkles and the backpack my mother had brought. I found both items neatly settled against a willow tree. I knew she left me I knew she was never coming back and that I was lost somewhere that was to me despite being so beautiful was now disgustingly ugly to me because I had been abandoned by the mother who I has loved so dearly. The very mother who i was planning to bring flowers to. How could she do this to me? How could she just leave me like this with nothing but a backpack and teddy bear? All I could do In that moment was fall down and cry. I knew she was never coming back for me. She didn't want me anyway. At least I have sir sparkles he could never leave me, never hate me, or make me stay in my room for a day without food he couldn't lie to me. And most importantly he could never tell me that I was a mistake he was just a toy but in this moment he was the only thing I could ever trust he would never hurt me. But he was just a toy what can a toy do to help me survive on my own. A toy can't take care of me like my mother should have taken care of me.sir sparkles was a toy and would be completely unable to help me survive I have no idea where I am or where I should go I have no phone and nowhere to go I was alone and would be alone for a long time I knew momma would never ever come back for me she never loved me. I'm a mistake and always will be. At least my grave will have beautiful flowers.
