The bank vault

She grew up in her own living hell were loving someone would be her biggest weakness. Beaten down day after day, So broken that fixing her was hopeless. For every piece she tried to pick up 3 more fell. Each time a piece fell it split even more. Life became nothing more than a fight. She watched everyone she cared about turn their backs to her. After that she knew there was no going back. She flipped the switch and broke the handle off there was no turning back now. She saw everything in a different light, hurting other people no longer hurt her. Numbness slid down her spine like it was water flowing out of a faucet. The monster people had been feeding with violence since she was a child came out, and it came out fighting. In that moment she embraced her pain, it felt like the sun’s warmth on your face after a long winter. It was intoxicating and beautiful, even pleasurable. She could compare it to nothing she had ever experienced before. Pain became pleasure.

Taking a moment to embrace her surroundings and gain control once again, she stood tall yet still. Quickly realising what happened a smile stretched across her face. She would rain down hell on everyone who had wronged her and she’d save the best for last. He needed to know she was coming and there was nothing he could do to stop her. His fate lay in her delicate fragile hands. Composing herself she kept a forceful friendly smile on her face as she walked out of the bank vault. She didn’t even flinch at the sound of metal on metal as the door closed. She yelled out to Barry, “Damn it hurry up we don’t have all day asshole!” rolling her eyes. Hustling to the front lobby with the last bag she sees Barry lying on the floor life less with a hole in his head. Without missing a beat she yells,”God damn this asshole complicates everything, even in death! Now Who Killed Him!” She did a 180 and saw a man no more than 30 but no less than 25 standing in the corner. Not missing a beat she drops the bag, pulls out her 45 and shoots him 3 times in succession; It sounded similar to a pop can being crushed over and over. “Now once again I’ll ask, Who killed him?!” She said frighteningly calm.

A small child started to cry while pointing to a man she hadn’t seen earlier. He was oddly calm even more so than her. He was muscular and looked to be about 24 to 26 with messy brown hair, blue eyes, and olive toned skin. “Did you kill him?” She asked once more, sounding slightly annoyed. “Yes, I Did.” He said playfully as he stood up. She sprinted towards him and jumped in his arms. She grabbed his face lovingly with a smile on her face. “Is it really you?!” She exclaimed. He replied, “Of course it’s me who else could it be!” He then asked, “How’d you figure it out, doll?” She whispered in his ear with a smile painted on her face, “ Your tattoo is showing!” She hadn’t seen him in well over a 3 years, he had to leave to deal with some family issues.

Complicated is an easy way of putting their past. She met him when she was only 12 he was 15 and they both lived in crummy abusive homes. They stayed friends on and off for six years before they got together. They were together romantically for about a year before he left. Their romance was a whirlwind thing, it was always messy and complicated. They loved with passion but they also fought with passion. When they were mad they were really mad fighting hitting walls, there was a hole in every wall in their home. She was just as dangerous as him, she even broke his jaw at one point. He however never laid a hand on her. It was an unspoken rule of his. After all she never loved anyone but James.

Before now she was always the quietly complicit one and he was the bold leader but after that switch flipped in her mind there was no going back to that. They, well i should say HE ran a medium sized bank robbery crew that moved around the tristate area. After he left he appointed her to run it knowing that she was a bright and intelligent woman. She had a rule that no one gets hurt period and that the guns were only for show but everything changed that day. Killing people was no longer an issue for her as James had just seen.

James put her down after a moment of passionate kissing. Their lips gilded across each other like the waves roll over the sand. “ Grab the last bag and let’s get out of here.”, She said as she walked towards the door. James inquired,”What about your hench man here, you wanna take him too?” Without thinking or even turning around She sighed, “If I wanted you to grab Barry’s fat ass dont you think I would have asked you too?” Snapily James said, “ Okay damn, You don’t have to be a cunt.” “Don’t you dare disrespect me like that!” ,She reemed “Just who do you think you’re talking to little lady?” James said in a playfully yet angry way and he grabbed the bag then turned around and grabbed her too. Her mind filled with playful memories she just went along with it. She couldn’t remember the last time he had flung her over his shoulder as if she only weighed 2 pounds.

James tossed the bag into the back of the van, setting it down on top of the other 5 bags. He simultaneously set her down as well. She stood on the curb with her arms crossed, “What the hell was that?” she asked. "That was me saving your ass Lexa!", James said In a serious manor "I don't know who you think I am but I don't need to be saved!",Lexa said as her hands started to shake with anger. "We will talk about this at the house now get in the goddamn car and stop arguing with me!", James said sternly. Lexa reluctantly climbed into the passenger side of the van slamming the door. James rolled his eyes as he sat down in the driver's side seat.
