An Engaging Medieval Chronicle
"The Guardians of the Mountains is not your typical epic fantasy story. Well-drawn worldbuilding, engaging dialogues, and fast-paced scenes. I was drawn to this because of the legend from the start. It was a telltale sign that the author exerted an enormous creative effort to pull this off. Fantasy isn't a piece of cake for a genre, and the Guardians leveraged it with its interesting set of characters. I loved Ben and Mady - their comforting personalities are what I usually look for in friendships. And also, the dynamics of Black Jones and Rose is very enjoyable to read. The pacing was great for me. It didn't feel rushed as the details and mysteries are slowly revealed to an interesting crescendo. The writing style is good; but there are some parts that need a little revising when it comes to word choice and contextual emphasis. I understand you, author. :) I'm not a native English speaker as well. What's more important is the essence of the story regardless of the technicalities that would hamper a writer's creativity. Overall, a good story to begin with if you're looking for something adventurous, fun, and engaging MCs (esp an alpha male with a Robin Hood vibe). Please do keep on writing, author. Chapter 13 is going to be awesome for sure. ;)"

"The plot is really interesting so far, and the world-building is good, though it felt a bit rushed. There are a few technical mistakes. I tried to point out most of those under the individual chapters. I'd suggest an online editor like grammarly to help with that. The main issue is the change between present and past simple and the use of incorrect verb forms. Finally, I'm not sure about the transition from 3rd person pov to 1st. I've never seen a book starting with an all-knowing narrator and then changing to the character's pov. Keep up the good work! PS.: I'm getting Robin Hood vibes, which I love!"

"I really like the worldbuilding, with the different cities for different types of people. The plot feels a tiny bit rushed but holds up pretty well overall. I also really enjoy the descriptions, and as far as the English goes, it's really good for a non-native English speaker. The author is very talented, and I can't wait for more!"
