Prologue

They said that the first beings to possess superhuman powers were the gods.

Olympians, Asgardians, God, Allah, Buddha, and countless others spread along down the endless path of space, time, and history.

Others, evolutionists in particular, disagreed.

It was a human abnormality, a highly irregular occurrence in biology, in DNA which made one so different from the rest, able to do things, become things beyond imagination.

Still others claim that the debate is pointless anyway. There are no such super beings. No such powers. No such nonsense.

But I myself know the truth of the matter.

Reality is, there are countless people in the world with incredible potential, whether they possess “superpowers” or not. Everyone can be unique in their own personal way, no matter who they are or where they come from, somehow in direct controversy to what many seem to still believe today. But I believe in acceptance above all of what others may or may not think. And although it doesn’t take someone with a unique power to make a real difference in the world, I still know the truth: beings with these powers do, in fact, exist.

There are more of them out there than you could ever know. The world may remain oblivious to our existence, but let me assure you, we are there.

How do I know that?

You surely must have at least guessed by now. Yes, I am one of these unique people. But this is not the story of gods or of great omnipotent rulers. Not even close.

This is the story of a group of a some certain young women, following a naive dream in order to save an oblivious world.

The Mafia's Chef

Roxx@n: It was longer, it was a really good read. I enjoyed it a lot. Wanted to see if Carlos became a great dad and he Grayson his friend out loud. He's rather closed off so a lil broader back story would be nice. And yes the wedding and twins announcement. A girl can hope right?
