Mary smiled as she witnessed the couple receiving their blessings under the chuppah.
Naomi, the daughter of Joseph's cousin was all grown up. It seemed just like yesterday when she was still the precocious little girl in braids that came over to play with Jesus every other day .
If only Joseph was here to share their joy.
Her eyes misted a little as she thought of her husband.
At this moment, a strong arm wrapped around her shoulders, giving her comfort and warmth on a cool autumn evening.
"Eema"
She gazed up into her son's dark solemn eyes that reminded her so much of Joseph's.
"I miss him too."
They shared a side hug as they looked on at the beautiful couple.
She swiped a tear away and fanned her cheeks.
"Ohh! What am I thinking?! This should be a day of rejoicing. Come, let's give the couple our blessings."
Jesus smiled at his Eema as they linked arms together and walked towards Naomi and her husband.
It was just like her to always put others first.
