The Beginning of the End

Wow, it’s my fifteenth. I’m astonished I’ve survived this long considering all that I’ve done. What a waste of a life that hasn’t even begun. Why me? Of all the doctors, of all the scientists, teachers, caregivers, or genuinely good people my parents could’ve had, I guess I was their punishment. My parents were wastes of space themselves. My father (Richard Wade), a mafia drug lord who’s a convicted felon in Zanesville, and my mother, a deadbeat piece of shit who abandoned her child at the front steps of her mother’s house.

Thorns do exist, but once you get rid of the thorns, you’re left with a beautiful rose. That rose was my Grandmother. I love my Grandmama, and I’ve never loved anyone as much as my Grandmama. She’s given me a home, a mansion at that, provided me with everything I’ve ever needed or wanted, loved me like I was her daughter. With all that said, I am still a screw-up. Is it because I haven’t spoken to any of my parents in over a decade? Or was it all my fault? The only contact I’ve had with any of my immediate family was with my two step-sisters, Dani and Julia.

Dani and Julia stay with Mary Anne (my mother) and have been with her their whole lives. After Mary Anne left me and divorced Richard, she married this douchebag, Issac Holt almost immediately, and had Dani and Julia. She tried to reach out recently, but I refused to speak to her, when I talk to Dani, Mary Anne tries to say hello, when I FaceTime Julia, Mary Anne appears in the frame. I can’t get rid of her, she’s like a burden on my shoulders, even though she was never there for me. Mama tries her best to rekindle the relationship between me and my mother, which pisses me off because my “Mom” is why I was here in the first place.

There is no life here in Zanesville, it’s very bland, I go to a private school with all except fun and enjoyment. The douchebag kids make fun of me because they know of my little secret, which makes this school even less enjoyable. The only fun I get in this town is sneaking out at night, and chasing that high with Brielle. Brielle’s my day one, she’s been there for me when times got rough, and she may be my best friend but she’s the one that turned me into a drug addict. I’m not quite sure if Mama figured out I smoke yet, but I can tell she’s getting suspicious.
