Summary

Yule loves trick and treating so much upuntil now. She loves wearing different costumes, she loves knocking at the neighbor's doors, ask for candies and chocolates, and she also loves roaming around with all her friends. But that whole thing changed because of Jordan— that if there's something that she could do just to redo it, then she'd do it desperately— she'd let him pop her cherry over and over and over again, and let herself be at his mercy. She'd be Jordan's naughty little elf forever… and she doesn't care if she'll ended up like a melted ice cream on his callous hands with a sprinkle on top and a whip cream on her cherry chapsticks.

Prologue

Trust is just a short word, yet it means a thousand things.

It means setting yourself free from fear. It means that you love him or her. It means that she/he's worthy to know who you are. It means that he/she's someone who could be worthy to be a part of you.

But when trust is broken, it cannot be fixed.

You can trust someone easily, but trusting them again? When you had been betrayed, played, and used for all your life? It will be the hardest thing to do.

When you trust someone, you trust them with all you heart, you give them all of you, you show them all of you, and then that's when disappointment, for them, for yourself, for your easiness, would come along and break your heart.

I once trusted someone that I have loved the most, yet he broke me.

As others said, "A father is every daughter's first love, and they trust them with all their hearts, because they were the first one who saw their pains and wounds on their very firsts."

They were wrong about it. You can't trust someone just because they were born ahead of you, or just because they're your family.

I thought my daddy loves me but, disappointingly, he chose someone who's five years older than me.

Yes, she does care about him, but it was just because she loves his money, or his body, or his face. I don't know! It was also another thing that her brother broke my heart after he broke my vagina.

"Yule, honey, are you home?!" Elvira yells from the outside.

I roll my eyes as I put my bag on top of the kitchen counter and sit on the stool.

I almost fell when Lucinda suddenly shows up and low-key pushed me.

"Oops! Careful fat ass! The stool can't handle you!" She said mockingly, while eyeing me from head to foot then laugh as if her mouth is going to shove a whole 7 inch fat corn dogs.

It sounded so yummy, but when the food came from her it sounded so spoiled and dirty. So no! Nah uh!

She call my name again, "Yule!"

"What?!" I yell back.

Elvira came in with her sophisticated and elegant self.

The buttons on her dress looks like they're going to pop, the slit is showing her long slender legs, and her heels look so scary.

She spread her arms wide like she was encouraging me to hug her while her purse is in her other hand.

She went to me with all her big smile. "My baby!" She excitingly said and then hug me tight.

She, then, pulled from the hug and looked at me from head to foot as if she was searching for something, and I did the same, too.

Elvira is my mother's friend and Lucinda is her daughter.

Elvira is beautiful, smart, and she's caring, too. But she's strict. Well, in a good way, but still, she is.

While my mom is a fire fighter, but she still try to give her family some time even though accidents and fires are happening daily. Same as Elvira, she's also beauty and brains. She's skillful and crafty, too, that's why I don't even know why he chose to look for another when my mother is aging like a fine wine.

Maybe, because his ego and pride just can't admit that mom can handle herself and do things on her own? Well it is his choice to cheat on her.

"You really look like your mom," she said while caressing my cheeks with her fist.

I squint my eyes. "You're saying that as if she's gone." I stated.

She laughed. "Don't tell this to your mom." She whispered as if this is just a secret between the two of us.

I laughed, but it immediately died down."But fatter," I stated. "And she also doesn't have an elf ears… and different colored eyes." I added.

"True!" Lucinda interfered while scroll through her phone.

Elvira's eye's widened. "Lucinda!"

"What?" She asked as if she said nothing wrong.

Elvira muttered something to Lucinda which she answered with an eye roll and her typical attitude.

Elvira and me made an eye contact.

Lucinda walked out with a heavy feet but our attention was on each other.

"You're beautiful just the way you are,"

"That sounded like Bruno Mars' song," I pointed out.

She shook her head. "Doesn't matter!"

Elvira smirked and moved back. She pick up the basket full of fresh fruits and slowly made a U-turn inward the kitchen counter.

She placed the basket on the marbled table in the middle and put on the pastel yellow apron. It matches her grayish blue dress.

"What matter is… your muffins," she said, slyly.

Elvira open the top drawer, and prepared the equipments and tools she is going to use.

I frowned from her term. "My muffins?"

She looked at me. "Yeah! Your muffins!"

"What about my muffins?" I asked, confused.

"Has anyone put a muffin in the oven yet?"

My mouth formed 'oh' when I realized what she said.

"Elvi, it's supposed to be a bun, not a muffin!" I chuckled.

"I know! But you love your muffins, right?"

"I do, but… No." I shake my head left and right, fast.

"No?" Her voice sounded confuse, yet amused.

"No, no one is going to put a bun— a muffin," she corrected.

"Right! Muffin," I rolled my eyes while smiling. "I won't let him." I added.

She peeled the mangoes and cut it. She did the same with the apples and the bananas, then she put the mango bits as well as the apples and the bananas inside the blender.

She poured two cups of milk inside then put the lid back on.

"What? Why?" She exaggeratedly ask while placing her hand on top of it and use her other hand to press the button.

"Why?" I rest my elbows on the counter. "I just don't…" I suddenly sneeze.

"I don't want to. And besides, I don't even have a job, yet." I said while wiping my nose with the back of my forefinger.

"Oh well, it is up to you if you want to taste the sweetest touches of heaven or go to heaven untouched."

She poured the smoothie in the glass and she placed on the countertop— in front of me.

I immediately took the glass of smoothie and drink from the edge of the glass. I know smoothies are good with straws, but I can't take the head of it hitting my throat.

"I guess I will," I hesitated as I place it back on the counter.

Elvira smirk at me.

I looked at her up and down. "What?" I asked. Her sly grin is making me uncomfortable.

She took her purse and look at me. "I want sweets. Are you craving? Because I am!"

She tapped my shoulder as a sign that I'm included.

"And you said you don't have a job, right?"

"Yes, but… ugh!" I Iazily stand and took my bag with me.

I went to her side and she immediately put her arms around me.

"Aww, I'd buy you cupcakes. You want that?"

"I don't want!" I gritted my teeth.

We were about to step our foot on the stairs when I stop on my track because of the black van that pulled over right in front of our driveway. My dad come out from the shotgun seat and walk to the backseat.

He opened the door, and from the backseat, Amie come forth. She was assisted by her other bodyguards, clearly enjoying the life of a homewrecker.

Her son also came out from the backside, holding his phone, not even bothering to look on where he was walking. I rolled my eyes at the sight.

I faced Elvira and I got shock when our eyes locked. I guess she was just looking at me the whole time.

I composed myself and smile at her.

"Let's go?" I urged her.

Elvira nodded once. She confidently tap her heels on the floor and descended down the stairs.

I came along with her, my attention was on my every step. I heard my dad called my name but I ignore him.

He called me again but I entered Elvira's car without facing him. I know that what I did was insolent but I can't face him with tears and glaring eyes. I still loathe him.

His mistress clearly doesn't love him, but he was too head over heels to care.

Elvira didn't say a word neither start the engine. We just sat there, trying to find a way to get rid of the heavy atmosphere.

Damnit! Looks like I have to live with Elvira and bratty Lucinda again. I very much knew where my place is and it is crystal clear that I can't call that house my home until they go back to where they belong.

After a long minutes of silence, finally, my emotions have worn off.

"Let's go now, please..." I begged as a single tear fell from my eye.
