Chapter 1

“Evelin! Come on!” My best friend called. My response was slamming my head into my pillow.

“You can NOT stay hidden under your pillow for the rest of your life. And that would not be very long considering you oxygen-”

“I just don’t want to go out tonight.” I cut her off.

“Bro. You left Haze TWO FRIGGING MONTHS AGO!!! You have to get out of your bed at some point. Tonight is the night. I will go pick out your outfit and you will get in the shower. Do whatever you want in there. But when you get out you are getting dressed and we are going out.” Josephine told me. It had actually only been one month, two weeks and three days, not that I was counting. I crawled out of my bed and got in the shower. It was useless to argue with Jo when she got this way. I showered and shaved before getting dressed.

“Okayyyy!!! Let’s get this party STARTED!” Jo yelled as soon as I got out. I just rolled my eyes.

Jo pulled out the dress she decided on and I put it on. I immediately shook my head. The dress was black. That was not the problem. The dress, also known as a napkin, barely covered her chest. It was also WAY too short.

“I am not wearing this.” I told Jo.

“Fine. It was worth a try. Just throw on your pick of CLEAN clothes.” She said, knowing it was useless to argue about clothes. Especially if they are revealing.

I slid on a clean pair of skinny jeans and an off the shoulder crop top. I stepped into my ankle boots and called for Josephine.

“Ok! Let’s get goin’!” She yelled as she was passing me to get out the door. I winced and rubbed my ear.

Jo stole my keys and drove to a nearby club. I walked in and sat down at the bar. If I was smart and observing my surroundings I would have noticed someone I used to love.

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
