Chapter 1

Hi! My name is Katie Windsphere. I am 19 years old and I live in the middle of nowhere with my boyfriend Andrew Smith. He's also 19. When I was very young I remember going to school and never returning home. I ran away in easy words. My parents always fought and they never paid any attention to me. So I ran away!

Now I live in the middle of the snowy cold forest up on a large hill and next to our little house is a pond with fish in it. Once every 3-4 months wildlife spawners will come and put more fish in the pond, that's when we get more fish for food.

Oh yeah! Andrew is my boyfriend and when he was young just like me he ran away. We knew each other from school, he was my best friend. We knew each others struggles because his parents also fought. They never paid any attention to him.

We both hunt in the winter, but in the summer it's crazy how much the forest changes. In the winter everything is always covered in snow and the trees are always frosty. Just imagine that, then in the summer the trees are green bright and their is wildlife everywhere. Their are bright colored flowers on the ground and the pond every year has lily pads.

It's really beautiful. I love where we live, we get yearly supplies, my closest friend Jenny always brings them up. We get them twice a year. How do you survive out their? You may ask us this, but we have been doing it since we were 10. 9 years by now, we got under control.

"Hey!" I call out to Andrew. I don't know where he is.

I hear his voice answer. "Yes?"

"What the heck are you doing? It's 9:00 at night, you know wolves come out at this time." I roll my eyes, he loves to be out and about but sometimes I don't know if it is right for him.

"I'm looking for something, i'll be in a few!" He yells back, I can hear him laughing.

"Fine! But don't come crying to me when your leg gets bitten!" I laugh and yell back.

"Watch me!!" He yells giggling

I walk inside. Our cabin is warm and cozy. When you walk in the front door you enter into our kitchen and living room. The cold tiles greet your feet with a chilling sensation. The kitchen- the tiles of the counter and white and clean with pots hanging and knifes everywhere. We use them alot. There are cabinets with bowls cups and more in the main part, then their is an island with a dishwasher and stove. The stove can cook two times the normal amount then a regular stove can.

When you turn to the living room the first thing you see are the large very bright windows, we love the outdoor light. We have a large couch and a loveseat. We have a very large TV and a stack of blankets and pillows in the corner of the room. We also have a small bookshelf in the corner of the room.

"Katieeeeee." Andrew walks in the door, "I found someone walking in the woods alone."

"Who?" I turn around.

"Her name is Erza." Andrew said.

She was beautiful, she has black long hair and she had the most emerald colored eyes. She was wearing a ripped black jeans and a black hoodie. Her boots were all wet and snowed over.

"Hey, Erza. Nice to meet you." I said as I took her hood off.

She didn't say anything. "Here let me help." I said. I went to me back room and grabbed a new shirt and pants and I grabbed some socks.

I took her arm and led her to the guest room. "Here take off your clothes and put these on." I said as I left the room.

About 3 minutes later she came out with the new clothes on and she said. "Thank you, where should I put these?"

"Oh don't worry about it." I said smiling her voice was calm but with obvious shock. "I can put them in the washer, can I have them?"

She hesitated. "Please just be careful though because they are the last of my mother."

"Of course." I said smiling sadly. "Don't worry about it."

"Thank you." She smiled and I went to put away the clothes.

"Can I get you something to eat?" I asked, apparently startling her.

"Oh!" She exclaimed.

"I'm so sorry, did I scare you?" I asked kindly

"A little bit yes, and i'm sorry what was the question?" she asked still standing.

"Well two things now, are you cold?" I asked

"A little bit." she replied

"Ok here, let me get you a blanket." I said standing up out of my chair.

"Oh no please don't worry about it." she said startled.

I got up and got her one anyway.

"Here." I said as I wrapped it around her, "And please, take a seat anywhere, you don't have to stand."

"Oh ok, thank you." she said.

"Would you like something to eat?" I asked her

"Yes please" she said, "What do you have?"

"Well we basically have anything just kinda depends what kind, sorry if I made that confusing." I said laughing

"You are good, can I have like noodles or something." Ezra sighed, "I'm sorry I just am very sad, I just lost my Mom and my Dad is just riding on my back."

"I'm very sorry to hear that." I said and I took her hand. "You can stay here as long as you want."

She looked taken back, "Thank you!"

"Of course."

Andrew walked in with Ezra's boots in hand. "Here you go Ezra."

"Thank you so much!!" She seemed much better now.

"Here are your noodles." I said as I handed them to her.

"Thank you, you guys don't even know me and you are treating me like family." she said smiling.

"Don't worry about it." Andrew said smiling. "Where are you from anyway?"

"Uh well, it's kinda long story." she said laughing slightly. "Are you willing to listen?"

"Yes." we corresponded at the same time. Then we laugh.
