I stood outside on my parent's backyard patio looking across the yard at my best friend Cadence's parent's house. Since finding out about my best friend's accident I've been at my parent's house. I have yet to make my way over to his parent's house to pay my respects to them. I don't think that I'm strong enough to see them without breaking down in front of them. His father and mines have been best friends for as long as I can remember. they became friends on the first day of class during their freshman year at LSU. They would tell cadence and I every chance that they felt like they were long lost brothers that happened to find each other again in their prime adolescent years. I knew that my dad was taking Cadence's death just as hard as me or possibly harder. He always considered Cadence to be the second son that he and mom always wanted but could never have due to medical problems.
