Chapter 1

Once upon a time.

In the city of Dallas texas a family of three. Mom, dad and 7 year old girl spend thier afternoon like always at a park having a family picnic like they always do after church.

8 year old Lilly Andrews rode her bike halmet, knee pads and all, that was mama's rule when in the bike.

Mrs Andrews watched her daughter with a smile " mummy ya watchin, ya see me mummy" her baby girl yells riding in circles smiling and giggles having a time of her life " I see you princess watch yourself honey..be careful"

Mrs Andrews was a kind, loving and caring woman. She taught her daughter to be kind, smart and to be herselfwhat every mother wants her child to be.Even with cancer there was so many lessons her daughter had to learn.

Her husband was playing with the pup they just got Friday, a fury white small ball of fluff. A filed of green and a little fur ball running around, its not hard to miss her.

Sitting in the shade reading a book and enjoying an ice cold lemonade Mrs Andrews enjoying seeing the sight before her,she was bless...she felt blessed.

Feeling tired, she closed her book to shut her eyes just to nap. Just coming from her Chemo she did feel tired.

Mr Andrews came back from playing with the pup to check on his wife.

" darling you alright?" He asked with a concerned look while his finger tip brush over his wife's slightly pal skin.

He made damn sure his wife was protected by the sun for the picnic, even went an extra mile to get an umbrella. " sweetheart, I'm alright" that small smile wasn't what he wanted but he wasn't going to be greedy. Mr Andrews began to pack up " lets go home, think this is too much sun" he said but his wife lays her hand over his to stop him and gave her husband a soft yet sweet warm smile. The laughter of their daughter disturb her line of thought. She smiled and watched her little girl and her fluff buddy " let our baby have fun. Look at her, she's got another friend"

Mr Andrews was worried about her friend groups. His baby girl hasn't made any other friend except a red head with green round glasses but least his baby girl was happy.

Looking out at his daughter running while the dog followed along. He smiled watching her baby laugh and play.

While he watched his daughter,he didn't realize his wife close her eyes and take her last breath while she too watched her baby girl play with her pet.

Once he noticed, the whole world came to a stand still for him and most importantly, what should he tell his daughter.

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
