Chapter 1 Freedom
My name is Chad, when I was 13 years old I decided to start my YouTube and twitch channel. It was a simple gaming channel I really want to earn some money because my current allowance was $10 per week and I could never afford the simplest things like Pokémon cards or video games.
My parents don’t understand modern technology, I had repeatedly told my mother that I can’t pause an online video game. She would repeatedly turn off my console or the TV even I explained to her that can damage the console or electronics.
This where things go wrong I was doing a Fortnite stream it was going great I had a couple of 100 viewers in my stream then my mom came into my room that it is dinner time I replied I would be down in a few minutes once the round was over, or I died. My mother responded by turning off my PlayStation 5 at the wall I tried to turn it back on, but it was broken, and I was furious with her, I shouted you fucking dumb bitch you’ve broken my console.
My parent’s response was for them breaking my property was to punish me, so what was my punishment:
1. I was grounded for the rest of the summer.
2. I was not allowed electronics such as Tv, Consoles, tablets, cell phone.
A few days went by then one day my parents went out for a meeting I was left at home alone I decided to obey the rules because my parents had cameras in every room except for the bathroom. When they got came home they went about doing normal routine things, my dad went to his office room.
The whole thing was weird, but I dismissed it, that was my next mistake another week went by still grounded and the boredom was to be my last day of freedom.
