Chapter 1
The double doors to the massive building unlocked and Barley, the building manager stepped inside. This building was used as mental health hospital and it held over 400 patients at a time. Nurses and doctors flooded the hallways, angry patients banged on doors and walls, and parents cried while admitting their children. Barley was unphased by all of this. He stepped into his office and kicked his feet up on the desk. Just as he turned on his computer, the door opened and a doctor walked in. He wore white scrubs and a long lanyard with a badge attached to it. The badge read "Morgan Kix." This was the head doctor of the entire facility. He held a clipboard and first aid box.
"Dr.Kix? How can I help you?" Barley asked. He stared at his reflection and smoothed back his long black hair. Dr.Kix glared at him.
"Marcus Barley, do you know what today is? Do you know how important today is?" The doctor sounded furious but he didn't show it in his face. Barley looked over at his calendar. It seemed like a normal Tuesday to him.
"No sir. I'm not sure what today is." He admitted. Dr.Kix stared at him and handed him a slip of paper. Barley stared at the paper. It was a list of names and room numbers of patients in the phobia ward.
"It's shipping day, Barley." The doctor said, "So get off your ass and get them out." He turned and left the room, slamming the door behind him. Shipping day was the day that four chosen phobia patients were sent to Utah to face their fears. Phobia patients were patients in the ward who had insane phobias that were affecting their everyday lives. The four patients that were chosen were right next to each other, so Barley grabbed his keys and head upstairs to the forth floor. The first patient was Lucas Barlowe, a 22-year-old man with a fear of darkness or achluophobia. Lucas was a nice-looking young man, with a clean-shaven face and a perfect jawline. His hair was a deep brown and matched his eyes and freckles. He was famous in the hospital and all the psycho chicks loved him. Barley was not much of a fan but he tolerated that someone looked better than him. He gathered Lucas from his room and continued on to the next one: Ezra Hart. Ezra was transported all the way to the hospital from India. He was the typical nerdy Indian kid and the youngest in the shipping group at 20-years-old. He was also the only patient in the phobia ward with catoptrophobia or the fear of mirrors. Barley thought this was funny but he didn't care enough to laugh. He just gathered the patient and continued on. The next patient was Grayson Katz, a musician from New York with the fear of rain or ombrophobia. Barley thought this was ridiculous until he saw that all the windows in Grayson's room were boarded up and soundproofed. It was insane how insane these patients were. Grayson carried a guitar with him as the group extended down the hallway. The last patient was the only female in the group: Avalon Elrod. She was the most beautiful girl Barley had ever seen. She was from Argentina and spoke perfect English. Her fear was the most normal one that Barley had heard of; Trypanophobia or the fear of needles. Barley didn't like needles himself but it wasn't that bad.
The group went down to the main entrance and left through the front doors to board the shuttle bus that Barley would drive. Dr.Kix stood by the bus to greet them.
"Today you are going to the Phobia House in Utah. You will live there together for four months or until you have faced your fears." At that, the patients boarded the bus in silence. They already knew what they were in for. Barley got in the driver's seat and sighed. A four-hour drive to the airport with one pit stop. At this point, Barley knew that he hated his job with a passion.

This is not my first story but I deleted all my old ones because I lost motivation for them. I would love for you to leave a review so that I won't lose motivation to continue. Also, leave comments and ideas for me. Feel free to post on my wall if you have questions or comments. I need all the support I can get as a college student.
I love you all. Happy reading
Ps. This story is all original and I thought of it while eating dinner with my sister who has a fear of glass or nelophobia. And my research comes from Google so if it's wrong...don't correct me because I don't have the patience to fix it.

Good first start babe. I gotta say, I'm kinda hooked
