Summary
This story follows a young Puerto Rican artist, Elena. As she navigates the struggles of artists that's grieving the loss of her mother while also dealing with personal losses of her own.
After dealing with setbacks after setbacks, she feels herself losing her sanity and when the bank that she was at gets robbed at gunpoint, she uses that opportunity to ask the robber to end her life and take her out of her misery.
Of course, this gets her hospitalized and forces her to stay in Puerto Rico while she works to save her money so that she can have her art featured in a famous museum in New York City.
But what happens when Joel, the man that she begged for him to kill her, comes back into her life. Will her end up telling her the truth as he falls for her, or will he keep her in the dark to protect her from the chaos that follows him?
