When a rumor spreads that her mother may be alive back on Earth, Mae steals a spacecraft in hopes to save her mother. But when her miscalculations take her off course, Mae crash lands on a planet deemed uninhabitable. Until she meets an alien who burns hotter then the sun and knows too much about her kind.
