Chapter 1
Where am i? What happened? What is this place?
Thoughts ran through your mind as you awoke in a room full of darkness. You didn’t know where you were or how you had gotten there. You gather yourself and attempt to walk blindly in the dark, unknown on where you are heading. As your walking, you hear a female voice call out to you. You turn your head in the direction of the voice and see a silhouette standing before you.
“H-hello?” You call out to the lady. You can feel her eyes staring straight into you, like she’s looking into your soul.
“Ah, another mortal. What brings you here, love?” The lady asked.
“I-idk. Where’s here?” You asked. You suddenly appear in some kind of ballroom, no walls around, just pitch blackness. Shocked and confused, you looked around the ballroom.
“This is my ballroom. You must’ve been brought here to reclaim your life, for you have done something bad in your life.”
You looked at the lady shocked. You had done something bad, but..they had it coming. You had been pushed around and bullied your whole life, you were done with it. “Well...i was bullied and called a monster a lot.”
The lady suddenly turns her head in your direction, a surprised look on her face. “You, bullied? Well that’s a shame isn’t it? A cute mortal like yourself shouldn’t be called such horrible things.”
You were taken back by her words. Did she really just call me cute? You blush a little and look down at the shiny floor, seeing in your mind an ugly human being.
“I will gladly help you get your life back, however, you will have to do some tasks for me first. In order to give you a fresh start, i need to collect all the ring pieces. The ring pieces are scattered in portals holding nightmares behind them. You will need to get through each and every one to collect all the pieces.”
I took in everything that was just told to me and agreed. “Ok, i’ll do it.” The first of many portals scattered around opens up, revealing a monkey in the middle of it. You can hear monkey laughter coming from inside the portal.
“Here, you’ll need this.” The lady approaches you and hands you a tablet. “It was left by the last..guest to come here.”
You nod and turn on the tablet and head towards the portal.
“Oh and mortal, what name do you go by love?” The lady asked.
“Y/N” You answered. The lady smiled at you.
“My name’s Bierce.”
You looked at Bierce, who gave you a small wink before you entered the portal. Wait, did she just wink at me? You shrugged it off and held onto the tablet as you went through the portal.
