A short Introduction by Cupid
So, there I am sitting at a table with my buddies, Aphrodite (Greek), Hathor (Egyptian), and Parvati (Hindu) at our favorite hangout spot, ’Cosmo’s Bar and Interdimensional Pancakes’, discussing our latest meddling in the lives of mortals. We laugh about all the drama we caused as we get drunk on mimosas and fill our stomachs with fifth dimensional flapjacks. At some point I mention how over the course of all existence I’ve collected love letters from many different mortals all across the universe. Parvatipassionately exclaims I should put them in a book to share with people. Hathor agreed, adding it might even sell well with the mortals, and Aphroditeencouraged me to make sure I include in there some tantalizingly spicy letters as well.
Now you and I are here, with you reading the sacred words of an immortal god. You’re welcome by the way, and now moving on. The way this book is going to work is each chapter will have a theme, a few letters to go along with that theme, and some light commentary by yours truly. Is that simple enough for your mortal mind to wrap its head around? As a powerful being beyond your comprehension I can only dumb it down so much. Oh, and one more thing; letters will be translated into American English. Why? How should I know; ask my agent.
