Creative fantasy world
"I enjoy the fantasy aspects of Xiaofan’s world. The world they live in is unique from other magical worlds I’ve read about before. The grammar can be a little distracting, but grammar is usually an easy fix. I recommend trying to write your story on Microsoft Word or Google Docs and use proofreading settings. One common thing I noticed was that punctuation marks were on the outside of quotations “like this”, when it should be “like this.” But again - an easy little fix! :) It was interesting to see how the story took from past, present, and even focused more on different characters here and there. Occasionally I struggled a bit to keep track of who/when the story was focusing on, so it might be nice to clarify that a little bit if possible. I did find myself wanting the story to move along a little faster. There was a lot of dialogue and description between the action and major plot points, although the core of the story works. All and all, a fun and creative read! I enjoy exploring the new worlds a writer can create in their mind. Hope some of this is helpful!"

"I find myself thinking about this book even when I am not on Inkitt, Xiaofan is a strong young lady and I am glad she has loved one around her, not just family brings loyalty, there are loyal friends too. I love this book a lot so I'm definitely giving it five stars"

"I love the fact that Xiaofan's transition takes place slowly, and is not rushed. Family dynamics is described accurately. The author should pay more attention to text formatting, it's a shame that a well-paced story has problems with tenses or punctuation marks."

"I love the story, captures one's attention from the start. Just a few grammatical errors you need to check on. Every dialogue must start with a capital letter. Then I suggest you use the character's names instead of...the girl, the woman, the man...these are best used when you want the character to be a mystery"

A story that must be told
"This is a tale with charecters so real they walk off the page, at times the way they are portrayed is so seemless and subtle that you end up understanding their drives and motives. As far as world building goes we understand the enviroment which the author wants us to see and it feels as though more and more will be added and sprinkled in until this book is one which when you look back on it you will fall back into this rich cultural world and all of its whimsies. The novel requires a bit of spit and polish here and there, but i understand that it is not complete and so should anyone else. What is there, is well forged steel still black from the forge. But once the blade cools and we can apply said polish and hone it, i can already see this sword would be worthy of a king. Seriously guys, mark this book and keep it in your mind, something tells me this one will be one to keep your eye on."
