PROLOGUE

She had heard his excuses before, thousands of times, but this time she was sick of them. Every time she wants for them to date, he would decline as countless of excuses escapes on his mouth. It frustrates her yet, she stayed and shrugged any unwanted thoughts on her mind.

They weren't like this. Distant and felt like they are completely stranger to each other. They were perfect. Many aspired their relationship. There might be tussle like any other relationships, they quickly resolve before the sun sets.

The wide sand cascading across the land. A small breeze that offers a slight chill, which provides relief from the warm, setting sun. The water crashes against rocks can be heard from the distance. It was truly romantic for an engagement.

She would have said yes to him as he asked for her hand in marriage for their three year anniversary, at least until the morning she discovered she didn't expect between his and her best friend, who she both trusted the most. She doesn't want to end their three year worth relationship, but it was for the best.

"No" she finally answered after mustering up all of her thoughts and courage. She finally decided to let go. Caught everyone present off guard, slowly, an awkwardness filled the area.

"W-What? Why?" She wants to scoff at him for asking. "What do you mean why?" She asked back maintaining her strong façade when she was slowly crumbling inside.

She wants to scream and cry all of her frustrations and anger Infront of him, of everyone. No. She needs to be strong and show everyone she was weak and fragile at this very moment. They don't deserve to see how much pain they've put on her.

"I don't understand Licia. Why are you being like this?" She found herself laughing like a maniac completely forgetting her façade. It confuses both of the person who betrayed her.

"You're clueless?" Wiping tears coming from her eyes as it turn into nothing but coldness. Her eyes were dead with a brief look on her bestfriend before turning her full attention to her lover. "Why don't you asked yourself?" Coldness were evident to her voice while she's failing to cover up the pain she felt inside.

"What would you feel if you found out that your lover and your best friend doing atrocious behind your back?"

Obsidian: He's hilarious. Like, actually. I loved it. You're writing style is great, although you could do with a few less murmurs and mutters. I know it sounds critical, but I have the same problem and I hate it. Overall, it was one of the best stories I've read on here so far. I liked it better than those M...
