Chapter 1
Today is the day I’m starting 10th grade. I’m a little nervous because I had just moved from California to Virginia yesterday. Everything is so hectic moving away from my school and all my friends, I tear up just by thinking about it. “ time for school” Mrs. Karter shouts.“ coming mom” I say , shouting back. I put on my strawberry cow hoodie and grabbed my backpack and head downstairs. My mom had prepared a big breakfast for my first day at North choir Prep. My mom has never been one for big moves, especially because I’ve lived in California my whole life. I hear the bus coming down the gravel to our street and I quickly finish my breakfast. I kiss my 3 year old brother on the head and hug my mom. “Bye guys” I say. “Bye sissy,” Collin says. I get on the bus when I notice some red hair that I’m so sure I recognized. I walk to the seat and scream. “How did you get her Ashley!” I said excitedly. “My mom let me come to this school with you bestie” she says with a big grin on her face. We finally arrive at the school and I’m so nervous to go inside, I look over at Ashley and she looks just as nervous. We hesitantly walk in and we are in awe at how cool the school is. A teacher comes up to us and gives us our locker combinations and numbers. I go to search for my locker, when I find it I am confronted by a tall guy. “ Hey Gabe,” he says. “ Bryson?!” i say. “It’s been forever!” I say giving him a big hug. A girl sees us hugging and storms over angrily. “Who do you think you are hugging my boyfriend!?” she says furiously.
"Whoa charlie, this is my childhood friend Gabriel" he says. "Oh my bad, i'm sorry, I'm Charlie, his girlfriend"Charlie says with a smile. "Nice to meet you Charlie, I'm Gabriel" i say with a smile.
Just at that very moment, the school bell rang and i was so relieved to get out of that situation. "Well don't want to be late for class on the first day" i say. "see you later Bryson" i say as a walk to my class. I was happy he found love but then why does it hurt so bad?..
