Prologue

The trouble of having one goal in life, and doing everything possible to get it.

That was Olivia's life, she lived for nothing but to get the people behind her parents mysterious death. She becomes obsessed with it because she thinks that the only reason she gets to live is to find out everything behind their death.

I would tell you about my sweet little angel named Olivia but first let me introduce myself. Am Nora and i was there. I witnessed the life of Olivia and how she was consumed and absorbed by rage.

Apart from her obsession, she was entirely a nice young woman. I loved her deeply. You could say I was part of her most favorite person but no matter how much I tried to change her mind about the road she is headed, she wouldn't listen to a word i say, it's like i was talking to a brick with mouth, eyes and ears. Do you have someone like that in your life?, someone that refuses to listen to you when it comes to a particular situation. If you do, then you would understand what I am going on about.

No matter how much I tried to tell her that nothing good would come from this, she wouldn't listen. Believe me, I tried.

I wasn't the only one Liv knew, she had other people around her, people who were willing to help her out of her misery, but she was always the strong lady who didn't need any help from others.

I lived with her most of her life and I saw a lot of what happened to her. The betrayal, the love, the hate, the hurts and every other thing she experienced.

I come from a family of six, I have three older brothers and growing up with three boys was nothing of an easy task but I managed. When I met Olivia everything changed, I wasn't alone with my brothers anymore, I had her, she was the sister I never had and I loved her so very much.

Olivia on the other hand had no one, she was raised in a foster home, she moved out when she turned 18.
We attended the same high school and college together. We were inseparable.

Now let's dive into how I met olivia.
We were in high school, we were 15.
The very day we met, she was been picked on by my, one yr older brother, who might have been and still is a jerk.
Olivia was invisible, no one knew her in school, she was a secret straight A's student, i still wonder how my stupid brother came across her, but i was glad he did or i wouldn't have met her. I wasn't one of the popular girls in school either, but I wasn't part of the unknown ones. My brothers were one of the popular crowds in school and that had an influence on me. If not for that, I would probably be among the "unknown crowd". A lot of times though, girls used me to get to my brothers and it sucks.

Okay, here is what happened, how I met my girl.
It was a Wednesday afternoon, after school and i was heading to the parking lot to get a ride has usually in my brother's car, and back then i couldn't wait to have my own car, why?, because his car smells awful and i always cover my nose when in the car but he doesn't seems to smell anything, he says and i quote "the smell is probably coming from me", i usually laughed at him, i wonder how girls cope to sit in the same car, even though he says he doesn't smell anything but everytime he picks up a girl, he would always spray the car with sweet perfumes. I confronted him, he denied it of course but I saw him do it a number of times. Even with the perfumes I think the girls just ignored the smells because they didn't want to get on my brother's bad side. Thirsty bitches.

Oh okay back to Wednesday, when I first officially met olivia. I saw students gathered, well mostly athletics, you know how they are, bully's. And my brother, the leader, is in the middle of the circle, talking to a girl and she looks angry and uncomfortable at the same time. She looked like she wanted to eat my brother alive and believe me i don't mean it sexually.
I entered the circle. Trust me, I didn't know who I was saving, Olive or my brother, but I interrupted whatever was going on. I still didn't know what happened till date but I didn't care, and I knew whatever happened created a weird connection between them, a very hateful one, or so I was told.

I broke apart the gathering and told my brother to stop his foolishness and get in his car while I introduced myself to the girl. I even insisted she get a ride home from us but she totally refused. At the time i thought she refused cause my brother was a jerk to her but when i later found out where she lived, i knew that must be why she always refused to ride with us. Am sure she didn't want the school to find out, i don't blame her, wouldn't want the school to find out either. Everything changed when we became friends though, I told her u would never tell anyone where she lived and no one in school knows apart from my brother and I threatened to cut his balls off if he breathed a word of it to anyone.

I begged my parents to allow her to come live with us but I didn't win that, and not because my parents didn't allow it, but because she disagree to live with us but I made her spend more time in my house with me. I knew what she ever wanted was to be loved, I knew she felt the empty space her parents left behind. Sometimes I wished a family had adopted her at a young age then she would have a family, but she usually says the kids at the home were her family and she is always happy when one of them gets picked for adoption.

It took her a little while to open up to me what happened. In no time we became very close, we did everything together and we kept nothing from each other. I was a positive influence in her life, she would say. I believed I didn't try enough. I lost my sister in a hateful price of revenge.
Our high school days were just like normal kids days, nothing special, oh apart from the time my mother caught me making out with a boy in my bedroom. That wasn't fun at all believe me. I had a fair share of boyfriends in my high school days and Olivia on the other hand didn't get together with any boys who showed interest in her. I did everything, set her up on dates, went on double dates with her,did everything.

After high school, it was easy to get into college, Liv and I were one of the brightest kids in high school so you get me.
And for college funds, Olivia found out that her parents left her a large chunk of money and she was able to inherit it when she turned 18. I mean, it was a lot of money and she could make a living off it for the rest of her life without having to work a day, so we all guessed her parents must be super rich. According to her, she was only 10yrs old when her parents died in a house fire. She was the only survivor because her father got her out of the house and he went back for her mother but they both didn't make it.
While she was outside scared to death, she said she saw a man who ran after hearing the siren. Nobody believed her, saying she was only seeing things because she was scared and also that the police didn't find any evidence, they say the fire was due to an electricity problem. I didn't even believe that, so I believed my girl instead. Because of what she saw, she had a very quiet childhood, she was made to see therapist because they think she was having a post trauma, and that she saying someone killed her parent was due to the terror she felt from losing her parents. They say she made it up. Anyways Olivia learned to keep her mouth shut and eventually they said she was healed because she decided to Keep what she saw to herself. But deep within her, she was hellbent on finding the man, even if she didn't even know what he looked like her decision had already been made. I always told her it's impossible but she refused to listen. So as a result she went into law. She wants to become a prosecutor. Me on the other hand found it difficult to know what exactly i want to do, what i want to become. So I did everything until I found what I was truly interested in.

College life was different, why?, because Olivia finally decided to go into a relationship but as you must have predicted, it didn't last at all. I gave up trying to get a guy for her in college. She devoted herself to her studies and ignored every other thing.
We would dive into more school days as the story goes. Just want you guys to know how much I love my girl.
