Basement Screams

The cries of help grew louder with every plunge of the knife in her skin. I watched in horror as I was helpless to stop him from destroying another young life. One final push into the knife and the basement grew silent, you could hear the wind blowing in the trees. He did the next part of his ritual and chopped up her body starting with her arms and ending with cutting the head off the torso. He then walked up the basement stairs leaving me with my own horror and tears.

Two days pass and he brings down another young woman, knocked out from the drugs he gave her. He lays her on the cold metal table in the middle of the room and gives her some smelling salts that could wake up the dead. Once again he plunges the knife into a young woman again and again. Her screams fill the dark basement as they echo across the halls until the final stab and then once again dead silence. I wish I could reach across and help these women but I can’t do anything.

It was a beautiful sunny day when I was kidnapped. I had felt not a care in the world as I walked down the isolated path in the park. A cloth was put on my mouth and within seconds the world faded before me. I awoke in a dark basement on a cold metal table. The shadow man spoke to me in the dark saying that he will be killing me and I should feel honored because I will be his first. He stabbed and stabbed into me until my final breath left my body. I now am but a specter living in his basement awaiting for the one day he is caught tortured by the screams of his victims.

Sabine : For this to be a Fantasy story; the plot is very interesting, and the need to be accepted, loved and mated is depicted as a universal need regardless of species. This is one of the few books that has been able to hold my interest, and I'm enjoying reading it.

Max1andRuby2: I was liking the story idea and got through a few chapters, but had to stop as the writing itself was so poor. It’s written simply, (the narrative and dialogue are basic and choppy) with many grammatical and spelling errors. I would love to see this rewritten with significant editing to correct the ...
