NIGHTMARES
From the corner, I looked at the pieces of our bond—
saw how it broke, forever it will be gone.
What once shone on top with glory on its name,
now at the bottom, bathing in the world's shame.
Smooth as linen, stands on a mountain peak.
To the shadows of hell, death will leak—
red as the rose in the beast's hand,
deep in the ocean that no one can comprehend.
Nightmares screamed from a daughter's innocent sleep;
ran from the monsters that the trouble's keep,
fought alone the sinner's wrath and rage—
when will I be released from this filthy cage?
